Yep. The servers are physically located in Australia but run on US timezone and maintenance cycles. My world and home latency is at 19-21ms on a 1Gbit connection.
I’m sitting at around 25ms, not too far from the France or England servers I guess. If we could just get a proper response to this major issue here, that someone tries to downplay and claim only 1% of WoWs population have.
Absolutely! Those of us who experience it can definitely identify it. For those who don’t, they either don’t care about it, don’t notice it or (in the case of some) are trying to convince us it doesn’t exist.
i know here lately they have been fixing issues faster than the used to im just hoping the reason why havent responded is they dont know how to fix but at the same time the should have some kind of data thats showing up when it does occur.
Yes, I play on the US^^… Tho, not on this server anymore. I play on the full/hugh population servers. Awe, which servers do you play on? I scroll down based on what you typed so EU? Yes, you guys have given me some laughs with your responses despite this issue and people wanting to play IT support techs…
I want your latency. LOL. Mine runs 25-30 home and world 30-50. These numbers depend on which server I’m playing on. Plus, the one server I play on has always had stability issues. Fiber 1GBit connection as well.
THIS. I sadly notice it so well and badly. Especially from days I did hardcore and semi hardcore progression… I learned to notice every little detail. So, it honestly killing the game play for me.
I’m playing on Draenor EU. I’ve always wished for a mega server in each region tho, kinda like ESO has. There’s already sharding/layering/phasing in WoW, also remove faction limitations too!
Awesome. I play on a few I can limit mine lol. A mega server would be fun. I already dealt with server queue times back in MoP. So, that wouldn’t personally bother me with a mega server. I know I came back and saw the removed limitations after an almost 4-year break. I like that they removed faction limitations. It would be awesome if we could play US with EU. ^^
So how did that phone call go with the tech people?
I really wish someone more educated on this subject ( def not you Pawg ) to come in this thread and tell blizz exactly what to do to fix this issue. Since apparently they have no idea how to fix this, maybe someone on reddit can help this poor underfunded indie company.
This is straight up incompetence. I know I know poor blizzard…
I need this issue to be fixed. Its disgusting and we are months out of pre patch, I’m gonna have to give this expac a universal L and put it worse than shadowlands because good god im tired of having massive stutters in Valdrakken
Also when do i get a paycheck for beta testing this dump of a game, Got us out here dumping logs and files
I should take a vacation from the forums because it’s getting really hard to keep a straight face with all the faux-outrage and pearl-clutching. I’m starting to have a hard time holding my composure from devolving into straight trolling… Maybe it’s just been a long and stressful week, not sure. But I’ll just leave these here:

You can replace stutter with other terms like lag, performance, frame rate and so on. Notice a trend here? It happens every expansion to some percentage of players. Every. Single. Expansion. And gets complained about for the whole expansion, leading into the next. Then, the next expansion comes out and you start the song all over again. You can do this for every expansion and see, if you’d like. There’s always some minor percentage of players with something weird going on, but they make it sound like it’s 99% of players dealing with the issue. They make issues like minor stuttering, that might only occur once per minute for a few frames, sound like it makes the game absolutely unplayable and come to the forums with pitchforks and torches.
Yes, the original cause of this thread, the shader caching CVAR, was a serious issue that affected almost all players, but it was fixed within a week.
Before you say it’s our computer it’s not minor drops there are times are hits the single digits and last for 15 to 20 secs maybe longer. Had screen freezes especially if it has more than 30 people in it that a bliz issue not us it makes it seem the server can’t handle it. I never had this problem in shadowlands. Not only that it’s hard to play the game when it happens often. This latest patch made it worse.
He just doesn’t give up, if he could blame the Trading Post bugs on being a hardware/driver issue on players PCs, he would. In 18 years and many different computers owned, it’s never stuttered, until Df. Sure the FPS hasn’t always been ideal, but never anything like this that came with the Df Pre-Patch.
The guy’s on a clear, narcissistic path to put every single problem with WoW onto the players. It’s obvious Blizzard can fix this, but won’t because they either lack employees with the knowledge, or the fact that they already have gotten enough money from Df sales and 12 month subs.
I escalated the issue from the auto reply stuff and sent blizzard all the standard documents they wanted. So they are gonna call to help me stabilizing my game but I’m bring up this thread and the many I have read with similar issues to see the big picture going on.
You do realize that entitled behaviour, tantrums, lashing out, name-calling, belittling, blame shifting, etc, when someone doesn’t get their way, are all behaviours of a triggered narcissist, right? Other forumgoers might call that projecting, so I’d calm down with the insults there Dr. Phil…
It’s not that simple. Sometimes, there are large upgrades that have to happen that you just have to pull the ripcord on. For instance, I suspect WoW will stop supporting Windows 7 soon because there are just too many differences now between it and the 22H2 builds of 10/11. It leads to a lot of branching in the code for things like the rendering engine, which can cause issues. Plus, almost all driver development for it has stopped and even Microsoft is done supporting it for the most part, outside of critical security stuff, last I heard.
My point still stands, like the forum searches I linked above in my last post, these kinds of issues and complaints have always been ever-present, throughout every single expansion that I can remember. If you’d like to see these problems rectified faster, start nagging Microsoft and Nvidia/AMD as well.
Pawg I actually was curious about your “condition” and googled “Lack of self awareness” and educated myself a bit. You might do the same. I know you dont get it, and the fear of being wrong is a strong motivator for your behavior. Regardless, we dont want to deal with you and your mental illness really…as we are not getting paid.
Hey dork, first you need to be reported lol But more importantly, for the 900th time, do you really think a system that is playing GoW 2018 at 1440p unwavering 60, Games like SoT maxed at 100+FPS, Games like Cyberpunk at a solid 60, is too bad to play WoW? Especially a system that had been playing wow without a single frame drop for literal years until this pre patch?
like kid cmon its obviously a blizzard issue and its obviously an issue with this expansion. They just need to fix it. End of story. Until they do, i’ll stay complaining. This game looks like mario but runs like the switch version of 2077.
Ment to reply. I just got done with it. I sent everything on my end over. I told them about the thread and everything.
Edit: The person I spoke with on the phone was very kind. ^-^ It was a long phone call (as in time)
Wow that was some phone call is it something they can fix on there end?
Holy shid you put my thoughts into text Ty
