Massive stutters with DF client

You do realize that the only time I really spend on these forums is when I’m busy working, right? Have you ever baked out 8k maps in programs like World Machine or Gaea when they are like 150 nodes deep? It’s like sitting around watching paint dry… I figure I might as well do something while my mind is in the mode. Trying to help people with tech support is one of those things that I can do in small bite sized sittings.

Lots of people have the problem, but not all. Which is why people need to lay off of the blame game toward Blizzard. If it were purely a WoW client issue, everyone would experience the same problem. For instance, I had it on one setup, but I corrected the problem because it turned out to be the Windows Defender performance counters messing things up. As soon as I used ThrottleStop with the “Windows Defender Boost” option enabled, it went away. Just had to open it, turn it on and then you can turn it back off and close out of it. Only has to be done once per reboot and it solved all of the stuttering problems on that machine. So in that situation, it turned out to be a Microsoft problem and not a WoW problem.

Pawgwalker’s pretty delusional, to say the least. I really don’t care what he wants to call it when the FPS changes drastically, makes the game choppy and disrupts the smoothness. Sl was nothing like this.

All that matters is that it ruins gameplay, and many people report these problems daily on various sites. He was quick to determine the videos I posted was either not an issue, or it can’t be called stuttering.

Because he lives in fantasyland. Not reality…

But hey he bumps this thread 20 times a day, in a topic that has nothing to do with him, for PURELY ALTRUISTIC REASONS. He just wants to help? Hahahahahahahhaa.

He has to be certifiable.

Just like he helped someone brick their system with a bios update lol…

idk why you guys haven’t put that troll on ignore yet.

Or so they claimed. In the event that it actually did happen, I’m pretty sure I left a disclaimer of what to watch out for if they were going to attempt it. US power grids are usually pretty reliable and tend to have 99.99% uptimes, probably even higher.

They posted a pastebin of it, you really need to try harder. Your cracks are really starting to show. for someone who has a double degree, you completely lack common sense to suggest a BIOS update for a 20 year old game.

That is just wrong information. Purely derp. Besides that, WHAT IF HE DOES NOT LIVE IN THE USA? You are being presumptuous and dumb now…

Pawg you are up to 22 posts today alone. Let me ask you a question. Who have you helped? Who are you helping? Where is this “help” that you are claiming to be doing?

Because all I see is you arguing. With everybody. All the time.

Out of your total 184 posts I have seen you help 1 single person. That is less than 1% success rate. Thats is terrible. Your “help” is garbage. Surely you can find a better use of your time…

I do think he is educated in some way. But I cant help but smell BS a mile away on this claim…

I did :). Wish blizzard made a block button but ignore will work for now.

edit: I accidently liked their post and didn’t mean too… Was curious who was agreeing with that person… LOL blizz won’t let me undo it xD.

This is really the crux of all this back and forth. Whether you want to call it stutter, lag, temporary screen freezing, dropped frames, CPU bottlenecking or wendigo weirdness, it really doesn’t matter.

We can all see it. It disrupts enjoyment of the game and the fluidity of dragon riding and it wasn’t present in the Live game prior to 10.0.0.

i totally agree it pulls the enjoyment from you. Believe me i want to play but with all the fps issues and freezes really takes the fun out of the game. I would like to enjoy dragonriding to but i cant really enjoy when it freezes and stutters while going the races and you miss hoops. Have to double back to get the missed ring.

I think this must sum up what’s going on at Blizzard RN:

Lmaoooo. I got curious and accidentally liked it. That’s why there is one with 2 likes. Lmaooo. :joy::rofl::sob:

But I’m all seriousness the stutters or w.e people wanna call is there. It’s blizzards client to optimize.

I’m glad I found this forum and knowing even more about it. I have a phone call with a tech person from blizzard cus of my ticket. I’ll update y’all because I’m going to bring this up.

Btw, that comic :joy: (Breaks up the mood a little….)

PS: Some of y’all (most) are pretty cool and have given me a few laughs in your responses

That would be great. Make sure you impress upon them that this thread is the most viewed and commented upon thread in their entire tech support forum and has almost no Blue interaction.

Thats what I plan to do is redirect the here  Because this isn’t just a me thing… It’s what most of us are experiencing.

I want us ALL to play smoothly and with ease. And enjoy the product we are paying for. Not be running support and research all the time because of these issues. Or constantly messing with settings or worse bricking our rigs cus of BIOS updates….

Based on the achi pts, I assume most of you play on US and I don’t :< Gotta say there’s some hilarious moments here, despite a certain Iron Dwarf…

Technically I play on US realms but more specifically I am on Oceanic servers in Australia.

Interesting, is that the best option in terms of ping/server stability?
