i love how the av’s afk players cry when they get banned and then they claim they was a false suspension because of mass report.
ofc if you afk in the bg you will get reported by the other players 
Mass reports can and do lead to automatic bans without human eyeballs. All companies are utilizing automatic systems and AI to replace human beings because it saves them money.
Activision Blizzard is no exception.

Most people receiving account actions in AV will not be for being AFK, but instead are for chat infractions. It’s really quite rare to see people actually get suspended for being AFK, as the threshold for it is extremely high. The poster in this thread also wasn’t actioned for being AFK, but for chat infractions, and according to them have been overturned. These are completely different types of things.
In this case, it pretty much sounds like they were baited into “conversations” which were then likely reported, and I suspect could be why they might have been overturned. Versus the more inappropriate/toxic chat which usually doesn’t but which we see most violations being for…

That’s exactly correct I was warned by the other defenders not to speak in BG chat via whispers but I didn’t think it was an issue if I wasn’t being offensive or using obscene language I know now to just not speak in chat if I’m going to defend.

Honestly, there is a lot of toxicity in PvP and it really comes out in AV weekend when some people want to simply grind as much rep in 3 minute BGs, staying out of chat other than to call things like incoming, or request help in a tower thats under attack is always the way to go.

No, their are straight up bans being handed out for mass reports atm.
Two of my friends got reported for farming mid in AV and got week suspensions.
Zero chat happened from them in these games

Time and time again, wrongful bans have gone out. If you ever left the echo chamber of the general forums and visited Reddit or customer support. You’d find many situations where it proves it exists.
