I agree, you should improve yourself at this game by not leaving keys as frequently anymore. Maybe get better at being a team player and working with others so you can improve at doing stuff with other people in this game.

If everyone is doing it then everyone should be getting marked and nobody should care if you are marked?

Shouldn’t the mark be like a “I’m so good” badge that indicates you don’t suffer bad groups becuase you are better than that? Shouldn’t there be a bunch of marked players looking specifically for other marked players because they must be the best?

If it’s a waste of your time then it’s not worth doing for vault. This is a video game, anything you do in it that feels like a “waste of time” isn’t worth doing, the entire point of this game is to waste time for fun and entertainment. Don’t do things that aren’t fun or entertaining.

Then you’re just going to have deal with “wasting your time” doing anything below 12s and being a team player. That’s what it entails, deal with it.

I respect skillful players. But, I do not think it is a privilege to play with players more skilled than myself. It was merely their whim to sign up for my key. It was not some special event with a celebrity.

I would prefer if lesser skilled players tried their best in keys. But, they do not need to walk on eggshells and be afraid of upsetting the high skill players.

Helping lesser skilled players is great. But, helping them while thinking you are entitled to some kind of special respect in return is not.

Just like you are not required to teach unskilled pugs how to play, they are not required to put you on a pedestal because you are carrying them. If you are not happy about this, then don’t carry pugs anymore.

Thats irrelevant to how much time you are admitting to waste in the game. You dont value your time when you spend that much of it in a silly game.

Exactly. You can respect the big dogs without making them into some celebrity you cater to. They’re human just like you or me. If they don’t have the patience for lower players, they shouldn’t play with them on that level. Lower players do not have to kiss the butts of higher players simply for existing and trying to run lower content with said lower players

Well the good news is that the vault uses a set number of your highest runs for the week, so if you run a few low ones to clear the mark you can get back to running high ones. It’ll mean a few more runs that week, but you’ll have done what you need to come clean. But that extra bit of willpower’s gotta come from you - none of us can do it for you. If you value your time, you’ll put in the effort to make things right. Otherwise, you’re going to get declined for groups, especially higher keys, so long as you have the mark.

Question is, are you willing to put forth the effort to get back in the swing of things, or are you just going to rant and be unhappy that you have a mark of shame that you, sadly, earned for yourself. Because if you’re not willing to right the boat, then you basically just admitted your own time isn’t worth it and you aren’t even respecting yourself in the end.

lol thinking its a privilege to play with someone doesn’t mean I think they are a celebrity. They are better than me and so more often than not it’s beneficial to have them in the group and I know it’s the right decision. They are carrying me. Too many of you have too big of egos to admit this. I’m the one with no ego, but im being painted like I have an ego because yall are brainwashed . I’m just a realist.

Also I never said you have to kiss the butts of the better player. I just said that the better player shouldnt be forced to stay in a key with worse players who never spent the time to understand the dungeon and you can’t pass a boss because the lesser plays suck

I’m not going to cater someone’s ego simply because they’re more skilled. Will I appreciate them? Yes. Will I let them disrespect me for being less skilled, allow their impatience and inability to accommodate for less skilled players go unremarked and unpunished by the system designed to make egotistic players play nice or suffer the consequences? No. Your time is not more important than anyone else’s, and you don’t get to decide that your decisions on what’s best for everyone’s time are right. If you can’t play with less skilled players, don’t play with them. If you do, and they decide that they’d rather finish a dead key than abandon it, you chose to join that group and cooperate with them. The consequences of you leaving a team effort because you feel your time is wasted is to be marked a key leaver. Heck the game gives you an easy out for removing that so your precious reputation and time isn’t besmirched by people kicking or rejecting you for not being a team player: you just have to go run a few easy modes. Who knows, maybe playing a few rounds with the real noobs will teach you to appreciate those in the middle of the pack that you keep complaining about
