In my experience, that has more often than not, not been a good plan.
Between qeues, crowds, bugs, crashes, and extra maintenance, the first few days will probably be hit or miss.

New class has always been in the prepatch.
Blizzard, why are you doing this? You have the hype, you have had two horrible expansions because of rushing to meet a deadline that launched too early that the first half of the expansion felt like a PTR. Why not delay this 2-3 months into the new year, give people time to enjoy LK classic, and polish off the expansion? You are still constantly revising talent trees yet which, let’s face it, are still pretty essential to the game.

People generally like to raid when the most ppl are playign the game… which is right after launch before the falloff happens…
I don’t think the fall off is going to happen right before or right after the holidays.
So according to your cheevos which would show any past raiding you have done on any toon . You either don’t actually raid or this is a toon made on a separate account just to troll the forums .
I’m going to go with the latter so as far as I am concerned and probably the majority of others here .

I’d think the people playing on high/full realms with queues would be glad that the bored retailers playing Wrath would leave for DF, thus lowering their queues.

I understand. I play wrath classic as well. But the notion of a business delaying a new edition of their based on the idea it can dampen the experience of a re-release edition of their product makes very little sense.
As for everyone saying it’s to make earnings for Q4 that’s likely a factor sure. Why people on game forums always act like financial goals of a company is the sin of the devil it’s always something that makes me smirk.
Money makes the world go around it’s not just a saying. Businesses don’t exist to NOT make money. Finally all our philosophy and ideas as well as advice on how blizzard should conduct their business is not our place the say. We have one say in a business. We encourage and support them by purchasing/buying their product. Or we simply do not contribute financially at all . That’s our call. Everything else is one the business…their risk their plan.
