I’ve seen a few of the forms, so I know they are dropping, at least. It just seems to be a really low chance for some reason.

I have all the new forms, minus the raid ones. Got the final one from Moragh today. So they definitely do drop.
Got the Runebear one yesterday after leveling a druid alt i had sitting at lvl 64.
Note to anyone that fights him next time, I didnt get a pop up showing the Mark as loot, but it was in chat and in my bag.

For those that still need this, I add some ideas and motivation.
War Mode
Remember that some groups might be War Mode off, so it is worth it to first go to Valdrakken to remove your PVP flag (i.e. right-click you character and turn War Mode off).
Then you can go back to the zone and locate the boss. He is walking around even when not grouped so the area is easy to find, just in case you want to be there before finding a group.
Targeting
You can add the boss name to your targeting macro if any (i.e. /tar Aurostor or simply /tar Auro if you might butcher the name).
Battlerez
Save your battle rez for the healer. My healer died near the end but no worries. Brez and Motw.
Mechanics
Check wow head for all details, but I fought him without knowing anything and it was fine. Here are some things to expect though:

Slumberous Roar- Aurostor roars, inflicting 71,679 nature damage to all enemies. Additionally, players receive 3 stacks of Slumberous Roar and are slowed by 25% per stack for 14 sec. Jumping removes a stack of Slumberous Roar -
Groggy Bash- Aurostor knocks aside his current target, inflicting 16,3838 Physical damage and sending them soaring through the air.
So jumping is good and also be ready to be knocked in the air. Perhaps the Screaming Black Dragonscale trinket would have been fun to wear there, but I don’t really remember anything being too crazy.
Loots
The thing you are looking for is called Mark of the Hibernating Runebear. I got it on the first try this week. It is BOP so it cannot be traded with your team it seems. When you defeat the boss, the loot is added to your inventory so there is nothing to click on. Just check the chat logs to see what was looted and then look in your inventory.

The only roid rage bear form worth getting. He doesn’t look like he skips leg day at the gym. Still not as good as tron bear.
Clearly not just a ‘low drop rate’ problem
This has since been fixed and people are getting loot normally now – brought one of the L70 druids I forgot about to Aurostor and he got the visage of aurostor helm appearance.
…feels like a bit of a kick in the teeth when you get an item named ‘visage of aurostor’ and it’s not the runebear appearance, considering Aurostor is a runebear…

Do we have an idea of the drop rate? Trying to figure out if I need to level a 3rd Druid or if the rate is high enough to just be patient

Not quite sure, unfortunately it didn’t drop for me this week either. Judging by the drop rates of other forms though, it’s probably pretty darn low.
I’m gonna wait for Timewalking and then level a few druids.

oh got the visage of aurator thing but no bear form on my druids this time
I got the bear form just now. I have two druids so this was my 4th attempt at the boss.

I just got it on attempt #5 after paying for a level 70 boost on a 3rd druid (shame on me…)
Was it worth paying the money? Absolutely not. But I have no self control. I’m guessing the drop rate is 15-25% based on my experience and others.

Got the drop on my 1st kill during Week 2 of Aurostor; I have two druids, so this was my 3th attempt overall.

I Just got it today 22.11.2023 with my guardian druid. You have to be in tank spec and loot for tank spec. 
I also got it today. It was my 5th attempt. I was in Balance spec and loot spec.
