Can addons from curseforge be malware?
I would hope that curseforge never approves an addon that would be malware. I’d say it’s 100% safe.
If you’re still not comfortable with that, if you download them manually and unzip the files into the AddOns folder and let WoW run everything, then you’re 100% safe. In theory an addon can break the TOS by chatting unsolicited stuff to others without you knowing and other mischief, but nothing that could affect your computer. But the chances of this in any addon with many downloads is slim to impossible. I swear an addon with just 300 downloads will have every behavior torn apart which is a blessing and a curse.
