Male or Female Night Elf Druid

No lie, I’ve honestly debated changing the Fem Night Elf Rogue to Fem Worgen something about the male’s animations just… meh.

Days later I’m still stuck. Part of me wants to go male for the old school lore. The other part female because it seems there are more female Nelf Druids running around in story, being proactive and doing things then their male counterparts.

And then the thought, which is stronger in the wild? Male or Female animals?

Also why do people hate male nelves? I often see the reason being casting animations and running.

I think the model and animations look like crap and are awkwardly proportioned.

I don’t like most of the male models, so female.

Personally I like them.
But the best way I can explain it is they have an hour-glass figure, which is typically feminine. Like their chest is very large, then it goes into a dainty little waist, then normal male legs.

There’s no right answer here, I’ve seen you on the forums debating for a few days now. If you really can’t decide just toss a coin. It’s better to actually commit and enjoy playing X (even if choosing Y may have been a better choice in hindsight) than not playing and constantly going back and forth.

I was like this for the entirety of BFA and SL but with my class, not character Gender. Had I just chosen one and played, even if it was ultimately the wrong class for me, I’d still have had more fun.

And the thing is I don’t mind the model or the animations. In some cases even like them.

I don’t know. It feels like I’m in a mental battle between what I want and what’s appropriate. And the two flip flop between each other because of course my stupid brain would.

Yea sorry about that. Maybe I should flip a coin. Let what lands be what be.

Just do what you want. Rolling a male Night Elf is completely appropriate. If you like that better, do that.

And like I said, there in lies the problem as the two switch around endlessly. Like I already have a lot of Fem Night Elf characters on my Alliance roster (a lot being the Hunter and Rogue) and I’m debating on having some different for Druid and Demon Hunter. Like do I two Two males and two females, One male (Demon Hunter) three females or make all four female and abandon male nelf. I’m also looking at the transmogs for class sets between the two.

Well luckily you can freely switch between male and female any time you want, so maybe just make neutral names and then play whatever you desire at that time. It doesn’t have to be a permanent decision.

I couldn’t figure out a gender neutral name to save my life. But thank you for the suggestion.

I didn’t make a Druid till Cata, hate elves myself.

A name? Dirtlicker, Treeboxer, Leafsmacker… That’s all I got.

For me I feel I have to make the Alliance Druid a Night Elf because they are the iconic Druids. And in the end that’s what a lot of my character race/class choices tend to end up. Iconic.

Female, because, umm, uhh… she looks neat, is all. That’s it!

If you’re going with iconic, I would recommend going with historical tradition and make a male night elf druid.

If you’re going for iconic, then you need to make the male druid. The iconic, primordial druid.

You and Taco are of course absolutely right. If I want the 100% authentic iconic experience it has to be a Male Night Elf…

Hmmm.

You don’t like shaking the magic 8 ball to see if your spell is going to land?

A (i cant read) void elf after my own heart.

At least it’s a bit better then standing on one leg.
