Making gold as a warrior?

Yep guilds love dps / tank warrior in raids too. Massive dps , awesome offtanks and main tanks.

Meanwhile mages get epic mounts and awesome gear from raiding.

Be smart guys. Delete / retire your warrior and roll mage main .

We made a mistake rolling warrior. Just face facts , you are being farmed by your own faction

I feel less angry for all the OS need rolls now. Damn its hard be a warrior.

You basically have a couple options now that WPvP has thrown the world into chaos.

DM - East Jump runs. You’re prot specced(and lacking Raid Gear) so this will be tough to do efficiently (ie. with two people, as opposed to three), and it’s basically a lotto type run anyway. Basically the idea is this. Get a Healer, get a DPS. Do Jump Runs, split profits. Ideally do this 10 runs at a time at the minimum.

Live Strat Runs - Tank gets all orbs. If you’re newer and can’t run people through quickly this will probably grate on people’s nerves, so maybe only reserve first Orb.

What I do is reserve ALL ORBS. Team up with a healer from guild and then run through the dungeon mostly in berserker stance with a two-hander. Runs go by super quick and people only really start to get agitated if we get a really lucky run with multiple orbs dropping. In which case you just tell them tough apples, it’s what they signed up for. This is by far the most lucrative way to make money, again split the cash with the healer and keep on farming.

Early Morning Thorium Runs - It’s worth checking out every once in awhile if you happen to be on during off hours. Prime time is early in the morning during weekdays especially, not a lot of people on. I occasionally do a few quick laps just to see if I can get lucky.

Run Dungeons - This is ideal if you still need some gear. All you’re doing is just running dungeons for the passive income this provides. You’re a tank, so you can hop dungeon to dungeon quickly. WPvP probably slows this down quite a bit, and it wasn’t the fastest way to make money in the first place. But if you happen to enjoy doing dungeon runs and you play a lot, this is fine.

Roll an Alt - This is basically just giving up. If you’re going to spend the time doing this, don’t fall into the Hunter trap, just go Warlock and call it a day.

I’m hardly the richest person on my server, in fact I only have like 150g to my name at the moment. But I have an Epic Mount, Lionheart’s Helmet, Stronghold Gauntlets and I can afford raid consumables no issues, every week.

Getting UBRS key can net you 20g just to open the door:)

Sounds awesome but most people making UBRS groups have that sorted , only once did I have to pay 2 gold per person for door opening .

Ahhh my realms different haha, people say 20g in trade all the time.

Almost everyone hates this advice and has been run out of town for trying this. Unless the servers other than the 3 I play on are completely different. You will literally end up ignored by 90% of the server. Don’t do this.

Sure I’ve gotten some hate like I said, but I’ve also made thousands of gold and have people who will come to before even looking for a tank.

It really depends how you go about it I guess. Also, I tend to find the people strongly against are the people I don’t want to play with anyway so, kinda win-win

Curious, what makes warlock better than hunter or mage?

Warlock has good utility for 5 mans .
Soulstone is handy .

Not sure how good locks are at gold farming , seems like mages are the best

Well warriors are the best class at “farming 5 mans” if you are willing to tank. Tanking is the most important utility for dungeons.

But Kotek seems to be implying that warlocks are preferable to hunters for gold farming. I don’t understand.

I’m leveling a mage because of time/benefit. idk be asmongold and beg for gold?

Yeah idk. I see hunter solo farm tribute but maybe warlock is better ? But mages are the best farmers no dispute .

Might as well make mage your main . Get some epic gear , farm even faster .

Put the warrior away till Naxx because they need a ton of warriors for horsemen.

Duel some mages just to make sure I’m not giving you bad advice

Become a famous streamer and beg for gold from your viewers.

Back in vanilla, i used to go back and farm all the instances i could solo.
Pop rare and twink gear drops in AH, vendor the crap
AH the trade stuff like cloth etc.

Repair costs were trivial, all the money dropped was mine, which adds up fast when it is not split 5 ways.

Having a vendor price and AH addon is useful so you know from inside the instance what things to worry most about dragging back.

Yeah or start a guild and take all the BOE and mats that drop on raids to sell

Shadowfang sells for like 200 gold on my server. When Battlegrounds come, twink items like these will be in demand.

I really suggest you don’t neglect your professions. Usually on Warrior i go Skinning or Mining then take Engineering or Blacksmithing later with the money i made from the 2 gathering professions.

At this point i would either just run dungeons or roll a nice easy solo class with nothing but gather proffs. Mage is the obvious choice but play what you like.

Alternatively just wrap up quests you never did. The 50-60 bracket pours out more gold than usual. Find questing buddies to stick together and keep eachother safe. And you can maybe make a regular 5 man group that does everything together.

So basically just don’t make a warrior and make mage is the best option. Oh well at least I only wasted 20 days played and not 60+

I’m making a Druid alt that will try to make a profit out of Devilsaur.

But yeah warrior life is brutal… in the tank shortage i suggest charging people for dungeons runs even though i hate the practice. Mage is so nice but so scummy.
