It has as much spam as all the free to play games and then some. We used to hide from spam with a sub fee but not anymore. Now the game is world of WTS SPAMCRAFT.
Is the development team really happy that weeks after release folks are charging gold to carry folks through the content they designed. It would seem kinda like a failure at design if that happened seriously.
Why recruit for a guild when you can exploit guildless players by selling them boost. Raids and dungeons are no longer the game. The real game is logging in and boosting players for gold. So sad a state. Yes im pissed i’m fed up and done with the bs like it or not I don’t care.

Can’t use any form of grouping because of spambots. Can’t trust any pugs either, they might just kick you to sell the final boss, ect ect.

I mean just because their spam is bad doesn’t mean ours isn’t either. Boosting servers literally advertise paying people to spam. I’m not sure why this is allowed.

And no. F2P is not in WoW’s future. And I hope it stays as a subscription based model.

I cant see a permanent answer to spam bots myself, to be honest. Ban them all, then theyll make new accounts and start again etc.

Just use the add-on that blocks specific keywords. I can’t think of the name right now, but it allows you to set a series of keywords and the add-on will automatically hide any messages in chat with those keywords.
Its great for blocking trolls and spammers.
I’m glad I am not the only one who thought that when I saw FTP.
