I do NOT want to raid, ever. It’s not something I enjoy on any level… Why is it that someone who likes to raid gets to progress weapons all the way to naxx while pvp’rs have crappy dungeon weapons???
Depending on the class, you have options. Why are you complaining? DM gear is better than most of the MC gear anyway especially the caster weapons. You’ll get ZG gear faster too and that gear is great for a caster. That isn’t much of a raid really. More like a glorified dungeon.
Look at the epic rep rewards - specifically AV and AB exalted has weapons. PVP gear is what it is, it is good enough to be competitive in BGs. This is classic.

Imagine having weapons out that are a whole tier above the first Tier of raiding that no one has even started doing yet.
I swear some of yall are clowns when it comes to suggestions.
Go feral druid, our best weapons literally drop from gnomer and outside of raids 
but it’s worth it. your name will be known, and the rabble who questioned you will be forever forgotten.
And they’re nothing compared to AQ and Naxx weapons. I am talking about keeping up with the pve people that still run around in the world able to one shot people.
very very few people do rank 14 legit. The ones who do have no life and rarely work.
I’m talking about the majority of pvprs who don’t want to raid and would gladly come back to classic for wpvp and bgs if they could get a decent weapon and have weapon progression in pvp only.
Then go to retail. Stop trying to add dumb crap into the game that benefits you. Did you even research this game before getting into it? TBC has what you want. I’m sure Carebear Classic is coming soon

SoM is the product of a company listening to players that wanted changes only to benefit themselves and not better the game.
While maybe not as popular as SoM, fresh Classic Era would have been a much more polished game and better choice IMO. Blizzard does not have the manpower to make Classic+ or whatever SoM is suppose to be.
Rank 14 has a pretty nice weapon.
Because Vanilla was not created around every whiney player should get every item in the game. It was never created to be equal with the most obvious being Ally only Paladins and Horde Shaman. TBC changed that and you aren’t going to find many people here that want this.
Because this game was designed primarily for people that wanted to raid. The entire PvP system was an afterthought, it was meant to be a side activity, not a way to completely skip 90% of the game’s content.

I guess you missed the part where they added arena specifically for pvp’rs so they obviously made the game for pvp’rs as well.

what does it matter when they added it? Did you even read the convo before responding?
AV has some good weapon options. Classic doesn’t really have a division between PvP and PvE gear. You’re kinda expected to dip into both. If you don’t want to though you can just spam AV for some decent weapons.
