The title says it all. The twenty year old faction war is stale at this point, and attempting to keep it going will require Bond villain levels of stupidity from the leaders of the Alliance and Horde. Plus, who wants to just keep slapping the same people around?
Make it so everyone is the enemy in war mode. 
We don’t need a reason to fight. We don’t need a faction to fight for. Let us kill just for the sake of killing. Excepting group members, of course. It would be a bit silly if your own group became hostile, though hilarious.

So I used to quest with war mode on because of the xp gain. But it’s funny they made leveling so fast even without out it I stopped questing with war mode. Why be bothered with interruptions when the small gain isn’t even needed anymore.

I would love to watch someone’s YouTube video pvp montage of this. But I would never play warmode this way.
I play in war mode in because it’s better to have it on by default and turn it off if you feel it’s inhibiting your ability to play the game than to have it off and then have to go back to Stormwind or Orgrimmar if you want to turn it on (which is something someone might want to do it they’re hunting rares or want to use PvP talents or whatever). Also the PvP can be fun
There’s so many good pvp talents for open world. I love warmode. And the sharding is so bad in this game I never see anyone in any zones besides the Shadowlands ones.
Go to the Bastion free for all area and kill people there if you want all open warmode

Every quest area would be people just being aoe’d down.
