Make the overcharged delves belt account wide

Then don’t. I don’t plan to. OC Delves are about the laziest way they could expand on the delve system imo. They are going the M+ “don’t add content, just add affixes” route with them.

why. thats the worst take about this possible.

I don’t have to anymore - blizzard changed all progress on the belt to be account wide:

This is definitely a good thing. +1 for this decision.

Just saying you didn’t have to in the first place.

It is when I have no other use for delves.

If it is like the ring where you can fully upgrade it in 30-40 minutes, then fine. Still rather not have to do a bunch of busy work I’d rather not waste time doing, but that is acceptable I guess.

Edit:

And problem solved.

this quote from you didn’t age well, did it?

Huh, they actually did exactly this today. Neat!

Ok, that’s a fair point as long as it’s not “free” to your alts, I’d be fine if your main (or an alt) has to earn that power (through a currency grind) to provide it to every character.

That may be tedious, but it’s still of value if you’re willing to earn that power for your alts. My issue is mostly “free” unlocks at no cost to alts as I do think that’s unbalancing (but that’s not what you’re talking about if you said “main can grind the currency”). Still it’s tedious, busy-work so what’s the alternative? Free power to alts (no grind, just auto-unlock at no cost)? Because that seems like a non-starter.

Does the new belt have an earned currency to purchase weekly upgrades or is it just powered up by doing activities? If it’s just activities to level-up, then it seems hard to justify free unlocks for alts, since some character (main or alt) needs to do the grind.

Edit: Well it seems to be account-wide now?!

Seems cool but why isn’t it time gated?

it is, you can move along now because i got what i wanted…

have a lovely day

The corruption enchant isn’t “earned power” since it acts like a normal gear enchant so you can enchant other peoples helms who never stepped foot into the content.

This obsession over “earned power” of others from a couple of posters in this thread is weird.

I guess the power works similar to the Cyrce’s Circlet gems where once we unlock them we can just send them to other toons without needing to unlock them on alts.

nothing to send, once you unlock the power, it is already in the belts menu. Just open the belt and choose what power you want. The only thing alts have to do is actually upgrade the belt, which is done through quests, like cyrce’s circlet. Each quest is a new ilvl upgrade.

the currency is used to upgrade the titan machine, not the belt. its a tree similar to the tree for the revisited horrific visions. Its 100 disc fragments to buy a 1 disc, which is basicaly a talent point in the tree. Once you buy the talent poin to pick abilities in the tree, it is unlocked for all chars, they only have to open the tree and allocate the points themselves.

As for the belt, the powers you earn for the belt are account wide, so once they are learned, they are in the belts menu for all chars. Alts will still have to upgrade the ilvl on their belts for each alt, which is done through quests, similar to cyrce’s circlet. Each quest gives a new ilvl upgrade item.

Thanks for the summary!
