Make the Mage Tower Challenging So We Can EARN the ORIGINAL Appearances

They could and should so people would stop begging for those skins and both sides win.

I’d be up for that. Blizzard’s armor/weapon colors are really hit or miss, so I’d welcome them giving more options.

This would both provide the models people might have missed out on, and new ones for people who have them to get, win/win.

My only amendment is that I’d also like to see the new model open up the ability to snag the other 3 that weren’t tied to the mage tower itself. Leave the original model for prestige or something.

You will not see those rewards from this retuned MT 2.0. It looks to be T20 recolours which rewards everyone with something new to try for.

Don’t be surprised if you see a slightly different version of the artefact appearances come up for offer in some new expansion feature — they seem popular so I believe some variant or version may be reintroduced.

I don’t disagree, but I saw the additional difficulty as throwing a bone to the “I earned them!” crowd, although it seems that isn’t even enough for them.

T20 for mage tower doesn’t make sense since it’s 3 challenges per class and a tier set is one (1) reward

If they do “Everytime you beat one of the challenges you get a chance at one of the tier pieces” that would cause backlash.

The T20 will more likely be part of Timewalking Keystone Master for the timewalking dungeons.

The T20 claim keeps getting cited even though the Wowhead article straight-up said they had no idea what it was really for, just that the set showed up in the same build as the spell nerfs. Yet here we are, people stating speculation as fact over and over and over and over.

Especially when we have multiple expansions that lend itself to thinking of a tier set reward as analogous to say, MOP Challenge Modes or the like

We have a tweet from Muffinus saying “Huh. I wonder what that’s for,” but that’s all. Wowhead used it to imply it the Tier Sets would come from the Mage Tower.

What’s worse is the tweet was in response to Legion M+ discussion.

Sounds like a issue with not enough actual options. Naturally having fluff for choices to wear will lead to people not using those options. Fake options is still the same as lack of options. Even with that said, saying everyone is largely hyperbolic, I see plenty of people that wear different outfits.

SL and BFA mogs have largely been disappointing or forgettable, that’s for sure.

I did, never too old for a girl to visit the hairdresser. :sunglasses:

Players do have access to all content in the game - just not content that isn’t in the game.

That’s choice logic right there… :sunglasses:

I would take the alternative approach and say - Blizzard should only remove things that are specific to a particularly challenging special activity at that time (not including things like raids). For example, pvp gladiator mounts, items from ‘challenge mode’ activities or from significant timed events (this one being, for example, the title and mount award for the Opening of the Gates back in TBC).

If they then wish to offer NEW pvp gladiator mounts (which they do) or new items from ‘challenge mode’ activites or significant events, then they can do that each expansion. Other games do it and from what I’ve seen, people don’t seem to get their undies in a twist about it the way some people do here.

Wrong. If a cosmetic reward has been removed from a game, that only means its source has been removed. It’s still within the game because others still have it in their collections, and regularly use them.

Right! And that’s the whole point of having something unique. What’s the point of going to Quel’thelas and getting that legendary bow and mogging it if every hunter in the game has the bow mogged on their character? It was a special bow back in the day but now its just an overused mog item.

Having some things that are unique and special give this game moments of charm and fun. Like the one I mentioned the other day, where I saw a character in town with the Scarab Lord title sitting on their Black Qiraji mount. I KNEW for certain that player had been part of the Opening of the Gatest back in TBC and it was a moment of awe, an opp to say hi to them, chat briefly about the Good Olde Days and feel that sense of connection to times past.

Make those things available to everyone and you lose those moments of individual achievement and it all just gets homogenized. I think it would be rather sad if we lost that altogether.

I’m gonna start a new battle. Gonna start whipping out new “There should be a way to get the challenge mode skins from MoP!”
ALSO I was not aware of the “Nintendo World Championships” held in 1990 and I DEMAND they reinstate it as I was not playing the Nintendo at that particular time.

Yes, please.

According to Baal, he made tweets about wanting the Mage Tower to come back with original appearances, that were liked by Warcraft developers, so these days might be numbered.
