I kinda think of fomo as the ultimate crappy time gate but I’m not sure what would be worse, just missing out or being unable to revisit due to difficulty. Either way I missed out, you know.

While it’s really easy for Blizzard to bring back Mage Tower, they are also faced with a dilemma regarding the masses…

if they listen to casuals/GD’ers/redditors and bring it back, the elitists/“don’t mess with muh exclusives” crowd will be upset
-
if they listen to elitists/“don’t mess with muh exclusives” crowd and don’t bring it back, then casual players will be upset

Like you, I believe we can keep both sides of this debate (mostly) happy with the “during Legion timewalking” idea.
There would probably still be temper tantrums and kicking-and-screaming from some in the “muh exclusives” crowd - but oh well, you can’t please 100% of players 
I mean, it’s nothing the devs haven’t already done before - back in 2018 they literally waived the “requirements”, flipped a switch, and simply “turned on” the Mage Tower for the last weeks of Legion.
Why are you making another thread about this? There are several up already that you have been spamming with your same tired arguments. FYI the op was around in legion…they have no excuse for failing to get the achievement.
Mage Tower tints were available when they were current content, now they are purely cosmetics to show off your accomplishments from a previous expansion, it’s as simple as that really.
Bringing back items/transmogs from previous expacs would be a bad decision that would cause a huge ripple effect, because Blizz would then need to do the same for other items that are now unobtainable. It would have the potential to turn into a “what you do for one, you must do for all” type of situation. MoP CMs, WoD CMs, Benediction for Priests, Amani War Bear mount from TBC, etc etc. The list goes on and on. That would honestly be a very controversial implementation for the game, where in this case it’s pretty clear that Blizzard shouldn’t change their stance on allowing us to obtain novelty items again.
What is it about the Mage Tower specifically that causes some players to become so adamant about demanding its return…

The OP provided an example of Blizzard reintroducing “time-limited” content. Like, it’s literally on the World of Warcraft website. They stated that mount along with the other rewards would be time limited.
The mount is now currently for sale on the BMAH. OP is just asking Blizzard to be consistent with their stance toward “time-limited” content.

They provided the same desperate example in the other thread….it has been hashed over repeatedly—this is nothing but spam now.
why do people care about the weapons that much. they range from garbage to only good because they have a unique animation or are a druid form. if your not a druid or your not a class with a unique animation such as the flails I don’t see why you care about not having it. there are thousands of other weapons to get, some significantly better than the MT weapons.

Hehe well I mean, of course the mogs, but it’s just odd given that you basically never see threads about bringing back other appearances, but Mage Tower threads pop up like, every other day.

He just showed everyone proof that Blizzard said something would be time-limited and now has been put it up on the BMAH. I can read the website posting from the World of Warcraft website where it says “Time limited reward”.
Clearly with the ability of me to go make a character on the Alexstraza server and go buy that “time limited reward”, it’s not a time limited reward.
I do not see how OP is making an unreasonable request. He’s just asking Blizzard to be consistent. That is a fair request.

Alternatively, make MT easy and let everyone get the appearance whenever they want.

Many folks are going to fight tooth and nail about the OG appearances. I am going to be the devils advocate and just say no to the original appearances since it gets everyone all twisted up. ( I would not mind the OG appearances coming back but certain people just fight the idea even though it is silly to do so).
At this rate, just make new colors for the weapons or a new set of looks and release it that way. Just having T20 armor is…kinda lack luster even if its nice we are getting the MT back.
