Make The Ghostlands a high/void elf zone

Exactly. I want to see more of it. A lot more. I wanna see them get their own hub as well.

No, Void elves are traitorous filth.

They cannot even remain allied to Horde or Alliance, how long until they betray us again?

Besides that land belongs to the High gnomes of Quel’regan.

Citation needed. The undead intro quests explicitly state that the Scourge cannot be brought into the fold.

Given that the Forsaken were effectively the victorious side of a Lordaeronian civil war, blaming them for the actions of their opposition makes no sense.

Yeah it is. However Stormwind isn’t the Alliance and other Alliance factions were there supporting Garithos, meaning the question of greater Alliance responsibility given their partial support for him is very much open.

Enough that characters who are Lordaeronian exiles aren’t uncommon.

That’s Amani land. So, no

The “High Elves” turned their backs on their people and have no claim to anything. The Void elves were exiled and Lor’themar himself refers to them as traitors.

So, nah.

I actually like the idea of changing Ghostlands to be Void Elf themed in any kind of old world revamp. But I don’t think it should be for Alliance players only.

I imagine it being sort of like a Horde version of Drustvar but with Void Elves instead of witches. Void Elves are hiding in the Ghostlands, secretly recruiting Blood Elves to their cause and turning them against Qual’Thalas in an effort to retake Silvermoon. Horde players would work with the Blood Elves to find and root out the Void Elves.

You could even throw in some stuff about Old God cults or Void Elves succumbing to the whispers. It’d be a nice way for Void Elves to get some much needed lore, move the overall Quel’Thalas story forward a bit more, and let the Alliance be the amoral one for change.

As I recall the original stuff suggested you were a more recent addition. The wiki at least notes “New free-willed undead, freed by Lady Sylvanas, were inducted into the Forsaken’s ranks and assisted their new (and old) people in the tasks set before them”

Which that is from the Vanilla WoW section before they had valkyr, not the Cata one.

Following the third war there wasn’t exactly a lot left outside of Stormwind:

  • Lordaeron had just fallen to the Scourge
  • Alterac was still in ruins from the second war
  • Dalaran had been destroyed
  • Gilneas just walled up and helped nobody
  • Kul Tiras sent soldiers to Kalimdor after Jaina, but nothing to Lordaeron
  • Stromgarde walled up and protected their own aside from a single detachment that accompanied Jaina

The Alliance was down to basically Stormwind, Ironforge, and Gnomeregan.

Which at best send some aid before they knew was Garithos was even doing and primarily just because he qualified as the highest ranking surviving military member in the area(or if nothing else, the strongest warlord).

How many of them were Garithos’ soldiers?

If the Forsaken get that excuse, so do we =P

No. Stop being entitled. You got High elves now leave the blood elves be. Stop trying to impose high elves on blood elf identity.

High elves turned around and allied with people who wanted them dead and executed just prior to WoW.

Void elves thought using the magic of the traitor responsible for 90% of their race perishing to suffuse themselves with the void was a better idea than just draining sources of arcane energy until they could get the sunwell back.

Both are stupid, sociopathic groups of cretins.

Of all the responses this is by far the best one.

How about nah.

Yes, much better to leave it empty, pointless, and dead.

It’s already got a use. It’s a Blood Elf leveling zone.

Stop demanding taking of more things from Blood Elves.

One of the short stories actually notes many of them didn’t turn their backs, Lor’themar had them exiled after they didn’t want to follow the teachings of Kael’Thas.
