Honestly given how the lore tends to work and the nature of both cities as the major faction hubs, I could see them do that where the Alliance/Horde can go to both. But in the opposite faction you get a “the Sentinels are watching you” buff.
So could I but like many other people that are fans of the factions and the faction divide I’d rather not, bad enough we had to help with that new tree instead of burning it down.
Nothing wrong with being fans of faction divide. I just mean both SW and Org have effectively hosted horde and Alliance folk on several occasions so it makes sense they’d be more tolerant.
Personally yes I would have, just be like Fyrakk I got this because legit I have more than enough fire toys, match toys, campfire toys, etc. in game that legit I could start a fire.
Well, when it comes to elves, you really can’t see much of a difference anyway. A guard in Stormwind sees so many elves every day… Night/High/Half/Void… do you really think they would pay much attention to blood elves, who are already studying together with the void elves? They all look the same anyway. But yes, in general, I hope that soon all races become neutral. So much more freedom for the players, who could finally have all their favorite races in their favorite faction, without being forced to play on a side, they might not enjoy.
I like the idea that the factions remain in lore and story, they’re too ideologically separate to ever be truly allied, but let individuals (players) to be neutral. At this point there’s plenty of folk in the lore already doing that.
My monkey paw prediction is they will forget about Darkfallen (leaving them in the limbo of being Forsaken but also exclusively in cosmetics of another race), and the Ghostlands goes to velves.
I agree. I’m even in favor of there continuing to be smaller wars, simply because with so much bad blood, it’s natural. However, battles that don’t officially come from the entire Alliance and the entire Horde, as we’ve seen multiple times now, tend to backfire more than anything.
It will allow Blizzard to 1) take the game into a state where you don’t have to worry about grouping, endgame, or playing with friends cause you can always work together. 2) Keep Blizzard from the stupid constant wars despite commonly defending the world from bigger threats stories that rarely make sense. 3) Still allow for pvp/conflicts that revolve around the war and strife that has always been a part of warcraft.
This is what is totally ludicrous. Deep down it is Blizz still trashing Night Elves by portraying them as a bunch of idiots. It is on par with having somebody become a roommate after they burglarized your entire home.
I have not followed the official press release on this saturation, but it is my understanding that in public test it is a sanctuary city. I can only hope that this is a temporary thing once it goes live, so that Horde-Only players don’t complain about not being able to see it w/o rolling a new toon.
Has there been an official blue post stating it will be and or remain a sanctuary city after it goes live or is it simply supposition because it is that way in the public test? If not it could be that way simply to have more test subjects for the new material.
Regardless, the capitals, all of them, need to be faction exclusive. Small towns like Goldshire can be fair game.
There’s a Tauren, who directly tells Horde players that they are tolerated. His name is Hamuul. Additionally, Horde players receive a message that they are being watched. Accordingly, it seems that the plan is for Horde players to be tolerated in the night elf village.
