Make subscription cheaper wow is overpriced

I’m never opposed to a price reduction for any of the services I pay for on a monthly basis. You’ll hear no argument from me

I am constantly amused by people who argue for paying more for a service though, and get borderline outraged by the mere fact that some people would prefer to pay less. I mean, I can only imagine if everyone in my neighborhood started to demand our trash services to charge more, because well, Pizza costs $15. It is kind of funny to behold the insanity of it all.

With that said, $15 for me, is acceptable for what I get out of this game. I do realize it is not for a lot of people out there, and as the such we have a lot less players. I am sure Blizzard is aware of it too, but the current subscription model is more profitable. At some point, I would not be surprised to see this game become f2p though, as the subscribers continue to slowly decrease.

With that said, I really do enjoy the game and am not trying to rebel against Blizzard.

The year 2020 has nothing to do with it. Nothing at all. If you or your friends cannot afford $15 per month, that is not Blizzard’s fault. It’s yours and your friends. Budgeting is not rocket science. This is a you and your friends problem.

You do not need to be rich in order to afford $15 per month.

Let me tell you something, I worked my way up from the bottom, I have literally live in my car. I have no college degree, and I worked my way up from sweeping floors for minimum wage of 5.00 an hour to supervisors position at where I can hire people and fire people. By hard work and willing to put in the hours and making sacrifices to build a better life for myself and my wife. We didn’t go out, a crap car held together with coat hangers, no social life, no cable tv, no cell phone, no fast food, and definitely no video games we lived on a big pot of pinto beans and cornbread that would last a week… but over time by having our priorities in line things got better. Now I make 65k a year and own a 250k house and 2 new cars…I started out probably worse off than you are, but through hard work and putting the social life on hold I made it to where I am now.

Did you tell them they could pay for it with in game currency?

If farming for gold is too much work just go play a free to play game. Lots out there, it doesn’t have to be this one. And it doesn’t take 50 hours to get the amount of gold needs for a sub fee. Just learn how to do it efficiently, lots of videos out there.

Blizzard has been increasing sub prices, it is extremely unlikely they are going to reduce them for you. Extremely.

This, 100 times this. Netflix, WoW, etc. should be first on the chopping block when you can’t afford things like regular meals. To try and justify luxuries as needed is laughable at best.

I work for a company that makes cereal and other food products you probably have in your house right now (ice cream, frozen pizza, canned soup, kids cereal, snack foods, salad dressing, dog food…etc), everyone has their temp taken to even enter the parking lot, then their temp is taken again and you have to be masked up to enter the building, along with mandatory handwashing and anti-bacterial hand cleaner…I myself is in the high risk category being diabetic and over 50.

It’s fairly simple. They can buy the game and buy three months of game time. Play as much as they want during the three months and go from there. If they really enjoy the game buy a six month game card. They can then let their game time run out, if they want. Then come back when Blizzard offers free game time or for the next expansion. That really is a key feature of WoW, you can come and go as you want.

That’s great. Actual proof of enforcement is dubious in a lot of these types of production, and employees, from my observation in a handful of a handful of businesses in my area, are jaded to the point of mask apathy, pull them down to talk, to smoke outside, etc.

The virus is active in 6 hours, and fever symptoms don’t even show for 48, if they even do (Fever is an uncommon symptom, not a norm). I’m sorry, but mask regulation is bare minimum, and temp checking is ineffective.

This! I can go away for 6 or 7 months if WoW goes on the chopping block. When I come back, my chars will still be there, ready to go adventuring again.

It’s worth every penny imo, most subs to anything now are 10 -15 bucks, even Netflix.

the company I work for will send you home if they catch you with the mask down, and if someone comes down with it everyone who worked in close contact will be sent for testing and 14 day quarantine then tested again at the end of the 14 days, company policy strictly enforced.

LOL I get it your being sarcastic very well played

Wish your bosses worked at my company!

And the big lever in that statement is ‘if they catch you’. It also assumes the managers aren’t the problem, which as been the case in a handful of cases I’ve personally seen locally.

I’m not calling your business ineffective, you guys could be perfectly great and you could be handling it perfectly. I don’t know your operations. But in my area, I don’t have that security about any job I could reasonably get.

I go to the grocery store at 3 in the morning to avoid contact with people, and i’ve seen the floor manager pull down his mask maybe half a dozen times over the last few months. I don’t believe many companies actually enforce, and I think that within those who do enforce, there can be middle management who don’t enforce.

Then perhaps you and your friends should commit more to eating regular meals than to online gaming in WoW. I’m sorry you’re in a difficult situation, but difficult situations do mean you have to make difficult choices. The game will still be here when your situation improves…for $14.99 a month.

I really think it is more of a risk in tiny areas with poor ventilation where things can’t dissipate.

I frankly don’t care, because I’m a caretaker to two elderly grandparents, and I have a pre-existing condition that could kill me if it interacts with covid. I’ve gotten 1% mounts. I dont want to roll the 1% dice on covid.
