Make shuffle 3 rounds

This sounds pretty good

honestly, after my experience last week going on a total win record agasint 4 healers higher mmr than myself and still net losing cr im game to try a 3 round random shuffle.

last week went 1-5 (ouch), 4-2, 4-2, 5-1 and still net lost cr. so… idk how else to make it so that healing has a better experience for winning than to change the effect of draws.

lets be honest even an S tier healer can run into a lobby that counters them hard and take a hard 1-5 or 0-6. I only afk a lobby if the dps start whispering me without understanding that im the equivalent of an arms warrior into triple Fmage in some lobbies on some healers.

Good example of a time i’d rather only do 3 rounds and just “go again,” was playing Hpal. Got put into RSS with Affliction, Fmage, Spriest, Disc. In round 4, after getting destroyed 0-3 and realizing i dont have any defensives that work. I changed talents to just try and be max throughput healing as it was my only shot to try and get a 3-3. I get called a all kinds of things because the Fmage died and told me to BoP the haunt. and when i said i can’t he called me racial slurs and i afkd out. the benefit of reduced but riskier lobbies is that you can’t draw but you also get people are less likely to just throw your rounds as it affects them way more. If there is a clear healer advantage you still want to play it out for wins because you may also take a 1-2 or 0-3. Right now if there is a clear healer disparity or advantage in match up, people just flame you.

You could set rules for how the matches organize. AKA if its 2 melee and 2 range, it mixes round 1 with 1 melee and 1 range per team. The next round the dps swap partners. Round 3 could have a set of rules. If one healer or one dps is 0-2 the 2-0 players must play with the 0-2. If its 1-1 it randomizes the dps into a pairing and then rolls 1-2 for a healer.

Like I said, it’s obviously not an ideal solution for multiple reasons. But how exactly are you confused about this one pretty simple aspect? After a game, if all involved in the shuffle queue up again, the dps go back to the bottom of the queue and different dps are now in the front…

Ya well so games are what 6 to 8 minutes now? 3 rounds theoretically games would be 2 to 4 minutes. That is also assuming every healer that gets out of game queues up again. So that cuts 4 minutes off queue times. Zero affect? No. Big difference? Not really.

To add to that there are 6 rounds to try and make things are fair as possible (playing with everyone). 3 rounds eliminates that too leading to probably more frustration with comps/lobbies.

Shuffle games right now can pretty easily go up to 20 minutes but yeah other than that you pretty much got it. Less rounds = less time = more games. That’s the logic anyway. Really not sure why you such a tough time grasping that.

Yeah except when it’s a massive dps gap that just favours whoever RNG’d the good DPS for the first 3 rounds.
