Some people who were in 10-15 when I was doing 10-15 are still doing 10-15. Some are doing 20+.
It’s not just the 1%, clearly. The default expectation is to time, unless discussed ahead of time. If it was only the 1% who thought this then people wouldn’t be leaving would they?

Neither. They care more about having fun and not slogging through a key for an hour when it should only take 25 minutes. They want to kill things, not be the one that gets killed constantly because of someone else in the group who can’t carry their own weight.

People do things mostly that award gear. This is why Torghast failed, Islands failed, anything that isnt gear driven, fails.

Torghast failed because it was mandatory and a chore. It was a slog that everyone was forced to do to get legendaries.
I mean it was also pretty much not fun to do.

Having no rewards generally does that for people. You put a piece of raid gear at the end of it, people would have more fun doing it.
If M+ only gave rating, and nothing else, do you think it would be as popular as it is? We both know thats a NO.
Even then, it felt more punishing than fun. The mechanics were bland. The powers too rare to get a good build going, the levels way too vast to walk through.
