There’s no reason to keep Legion pathfinder behind an achievement when BFA is almost over. Very few people are genuinely going to grind out this achievement now in mostly abandoned zones, especially considering the long daily component in part 2.
Old pathfinders should be available for purchase for 5-10k gold, much like old flight skill used to be.
Am I crazy for thinking Legion Pathfinder still requiring you to complete the entire expansion’s worth of content is silly?

Absolutely. After all, if they can force people to grind it out, they’ll be keeping your sub for that much longer!
Seriously though, that’s all that stuff is anymore. Just busywork so you keep playing. They don’t like flying to begin with so they aren’t going to hand it out instantly for gold anymore. Unfortunately.

Hmmm, maybe not the pathfinder per se- but maybe add a per character flight license for old content.
Otherwise what you’re suggesting would potentially unlock flight for an entire account for a pretty low gold cost, and possibly a unique mount ( unsure how the class mounts from legion would be handled, they all required the class order hall, as well as the broken shore bit)

I suspect we will be learning about some changes to Pathfinder at BlizzCon. I don’t think it will go away but It has been such a big sticking point this xpac because of the long wait that they really have to do something or risk revolt.
I’m hoping that they will remove it for WoD and Legion and do what many have suggested and open flying after part one for the initial xpac zones. Then have part two only restrict flying in new zones added in the .2 patch.

I made a sincere effort to try to get Draenor Pathfinder after it was no longer current content, but the rep grind is just too much. Leveling with treasures and bonus objectives is fast enough with Avianna’s Feather that it’s not worth it.

They should make it like 10 Million gold for purchase

Absolutely not. Its irrelevant content and should be treated as such.

Why is flying in old content that important?

Leveling alts, farming mats, grinding allied races, running old dungeons/raids come to mind.

I did Draenor Pathfinder when Legion was almost over. Stop being lazy.

Have a mount awarded for the actual achievement; WoD and BfA already do this anyway, that way for those that want to bother with it there’s a reward at the end, but otherwise, especially for those that are new or just returning the current pathfinder should also unlock flying for the previous ones too.

About half of what you mentioned happens in either instanced content or Argus where flying isn’t available as it is.
That aside, the OP wants the old wrath model (and the old wrath price too lol) for flight. Should it be a one time unlocked or should he have to pay the price on each individual alt?
what do you mean? i see people flying around argus all the freaking time
I’m surprised this isn’t unlocked by default in old expansions. Blizzard always go out of their way to deprecate old content, but for flying in old expansion lands they remain restrictive? Why?

Only if the money comes to players who completed it for that expansion before the next expansion.
Medallion of The Legion can be used to get WOD rep for that part of the flying unlock, they should add in something similar for Legion or let old content unlock once you unlock Pathfinder Part 2 in the current expansion(my preferred choice).

The simplest, and thus laziest solution for blizzard would be to make any version of pathfinder work for all previous content.
I have current expac pathfinder i should be able to fly in ALL old expac zones.

not many are grinding out pathfinder in old zones. they are just getting through them as quick as possible, never to return. if anything, putting flying into them would make the casual spend more time there.

5-10k doesn’t account for servers’ inflation. If this ever happened, you’d likely see it more along the lines of 50-150k/toon.
THEN you’d be sobbing to get “old” Pathfinder back.

There has NEVER been a time in wow history where a flight license has cost more than 50% of fast flying. Not sure why people like you think it has to be some asinine price.
