Plenty of people in guilds pug every week when they’re sat, raid is cancelled or something else happens. If you think this is for pugs only…that’s hilarious.
And you’re pushing semantics as a barrier that clearly has been irrelevant for ages? Come on…
There are key levels with significantly less clears than cutting edge or even hall of fame.
Your defense of the lockout seems deeply rooted in “that is how it’s always been” and a weird fetish to want them to make carry sales a key aspect of the design.
And again it’s never just pugs. It’s why often guilds call it a night if they lose even a single member because nobody wants to join a mythic run with several bosses dead just to prog on another mythic boss and lose their lockout.
And design or balance is meant with what regarding the unique Raid ID? It’s an annoying barrier. Stop pretending its not.
Raid lockouts are one of the most outdated things this game has left. Removing mythic raid lockouts would be a net benefit for players like myself that just stay in heroic guilds even though I can, and have before done mythic bosses before. Early mythic bosses are barely above aotc in terms of difficulty if not below it in the case of the first boss. It would also actually enable people to fill on the group finder for mythic raids that are not just fresh lockouts seeking free 1st boss loot.
I only lead the raids and organize and heal a large chunk of our m+. I suppose I might have enough free time to find another guild that does mythic, on another server of course because my server cluster has been dead as long as I’ve played on it (I saw the realm first mythic kj kill achievement pop up while leveling in bfa) I like mythic raiding, but I don’t like it enough to bail on the friend group I’ve fostered since legion. Heck I even tried that in bfa and almost quit the game because finding a guild that has a good personality profile is actually a pretty big ask.
Guilds are going cross realm in TWW so you don’t need to transfer, and mythic is going cross realm at release.
Cross realm mythic is another one of those topics forum dwellers railed against with moronic comments like “it’s important to mythic that it’s not cross realm despite literally the entire game being cross realm!” That is finally dying for good.
