Make Enhancement a Tank

Only if monks get it too. So far we’ve got

Brewmaster: Spirit and Earth
Mistweaver: Spirit and Water
Windwalker: Spirit and Wind

I want my jadefire monk!

No, OP, give shaman a 4th tank spec. We’ve had enough of Blizz completely changing specs we’ve played for years.

I have to say a lot of hunters aren’t going to give a lot of likes to this simply because we’re a throwaway class barely ahead of warlock. If our sims are good, we’re good. If not, we’re trash.

I like the idea of a shaman tank and it was a thing in Vanilla.

I also like the idea of a hunter tank that tanks via a pet. I probably wouldn’t be able to do it, but for those who can, it would be pretty awesome.

I totally love my Enhancement Shaman. Please leave her alone! lol

I’m having a Lot of fun playing her. Dusted her off from the shelf a few days ago, and wheee!

I’d love an earth tank spec. More specs yes.

Feels like a thinly veiled ranged survival post.

Makes more sense than having demon hunters as tanks. But doing work is a thing of the past on class design.

No they arent. Druid has 4 specs.

They should do a ranged spec with yu lon. Spitting dragon fire. Dancing chanting and using stances punches for there ranged abilities. Things like in naruto for there spells. They used to have a ranged spell to throw fireblossoms. Something maybe like the jade witch. And some melee abilities with extended range to disengange/ knockback, disorient.

No thanks.

Now a fourth spec for tanking? Sure. But no way to converting Enhancement from DPS to Tank.

why not - is it never used or relevant…ever now

sounds funny

Sure, Enhancement is not perfect but there are more of them than you give credit for and the damage output in the right hands is comparable to other classes. Our cleave is pretty dang hefty right now baseline without any real big corruption effects which is very welcome in M+ settings.

Of course its not FOTM but there are plenty of good Enhancement Shaman out there doing DPS not to mention that its one of the most beloved spec.

Go to the Shaman forums and the majority of topics are people wanting Enhancement Shaman to get some love, sure, but none of them want it gone. There are also a number of people who have expressed a desire for a tank spec but as a fourth spec based around the element of earth.

Enhancement are not in the best position but they can be competitive for general, non-world 500, non-top 1% content. People make them sound far worse than they are.

Honestly, Enhancement’s two biggest weaknesses are their squishyness for being a melee class and their proc dependence.

In MoP and WoD, Enhancement was my favorite but the class got butchered in the prune and it is nothing like what it used to be.

I played Enhancement in a server first progression guild back in TBC, though honestly we were pretty much there for totem buffs back then and Bloodlust. Hehe, I remember my GM would swap multiple Shaman in and out of his group in fights because Bloodlust/Hero use to be party wide not raid wide and it didn’t really have a debuff just a long CD.

He liked to pad his numbers, I was always in his group giving Windfury.

Anyway, personally I think TBC/Vanilla was when Enhancement was the most fun for me. Everyone complains about Totem Management and Windfury Proc Dependence but I actually enjoyed having a lot of good Totem Buff and loved just how hard Windfury hit for and how visible it was when you got procs compared to now.

I would love to see Windfury given some bite back to it as well as buff totems making a comeback, truthfully I would also really love if 2h Enhancement came back.
