ve never liked the fact that some class’s major offensive cooldowns are dispellable and others aren’t

I’ve always liked the fact that some classes have purge and some classes have other stuff instead

Or if were just spitballing ideas.

• Make combust undispellable
• Rework useless honor talent like world in flames to make all attacks do HP % damage during combust and ignite
• Find number % for each that feels fair/balanced
• Buff fire sustain

Now fire is a sustain spec and during its CD window it will chunk for HP % and prioritize cleaving and things like living buff/spreading ignite. I think bigger ignite should = higher % and the goal should be spreading it with LB/PF and talents like Flamestrike, incendiary eruptions, flame patch and meteor + meteor burn during combust windows.

Tbh fire just needs a top to bottom rework. Any spec thats been pigeon-holed into

running for 90 seconds then pressing db sheep and combust and repeating

Is either going to feel unfair when you take 3 healthbars in 1.5 seconds when they are overtuned and CD stacking + CDR resetting

OR really underwhelming post nerfs and no longer capable of 100-0 solo someone if thats their only niche CC + Run.

Hard to find support for fixing it when everyone hates the class after being victimized by it for multiple seasons/expansions.

Much like warlocks you won’t find much sympathy for mages around here or trying to fix/rework whats wrong with them

There is no real way to fix combust and fire though without some real tuning on sustain numbers and shifting power from combust or just reworking it, or reverting it to a previous expansions iteration. Fire is sort of firmly cemented into fireblast/pyro spam during combust and doing 99% of its damage in 1.5 seconds and blizzard doesn’t seem keen to change its playstyle for DF.

Everyone absolutely can, getting cross cc is not some premium service that only the elite can afford. Practice at it and perfect your craft.

Right but like being able to purge and the ability to not have your cooldowns purged are two different things. Everything else considered, i’m not saying that mage or warlock is underpowered because their cds can be dispelled, it’s just a game inconsistency that I’ve never personally really liked.

yeah i get that. by the same token, i personally think it’s silly to draw the “inconsistency” line there. purge and vulnerability to it are matchup-defining intricacies that i think develop the game in a good way, and homogenizing that out would be a net loss for quality-i think the extreme availability on almost every spec in the game of interrupts and mortal wounds effects is a great example of that

PLEASE GOD, theres no enought players in this game, not enought RMPs, we have to play different comps, and if EVERYONE isnt in a Cc, fire cant burst, cuz every class has a purge.

PLEASE, make it undispelable, IT DOSNT help the PROS, only us, the noobs! pros playes perfects rmps, or rogue mage, that aways burst inside ccs, we noobs, need to burst sometimes aoe, and a 2 minut cd its down on the trash cuz every purger purges it!

I dont car about dispel on my alter time, ice block, etc, but when you go for a setup and your burst just get purged cuz someone trinket purge, its insane.

So you got trinket then? Fair.

Not every class has a purge man and even if every comp had one, absolutely not every member of that comp does. Cc the one that has it and send it if you wanna be lazy about it.

NO. The game shouldn’t be balanced based on making every major CD, every major heal equal across the board. There needs to be some RPG counter play - taking the risk to purge combust instead of using globals to deal with the burst is also a coin toss. So I feel like overall it’s balanced. Mages also have strong CC so they should in most cases be able to lock down the person with a purge.

A hunter, a shammy and a priest disc…

A demon hunter, a shammy, a priest disc…

The list goes on and on with teams that all 3 have purges…

Makes no sense to me. Its a major CD, and people can take it off. NO SENSE! Its not balance, its make noobs suffer and play other things.
