*MAJOR SPOILERS* The raid story and the unification of the elves!

I don’t know Metzen? Promises kept… The cinematics… the voice acting… it hurts me in my Void Elven heart… I’ll be needing 500 cigarettes to get over this.

Could be a lot worse, but that’s still pretty bad. I actually like the blood elf/night elf/nightborne interactions, and I’ll not miss the Silver Covenant, but Thalassian unification is awful every which way. Especially with the void/blood elves. The story campaign, which does a good job convincing Umbric that the ren’dorei need to stop pining for their blood elven pasts and create their own culture and traditions, ends like this? Way to shoot the message.

Wow, despite the broad strokes being obvious for some time now, this nailed it exactly even three months ago, down to the last detail. Doesn’t seem like this will make anyone involved happy, and less so those uninvolved.

Though Azshara has ties to the Void, I’m getting the vibe they’ll push her out a few expansions. It seems all the cosmic stuff should finally come to a head at the end of TLT, so after they’ll need villains who are both dangerous but also “local” for a little while. Azshara fits that bill perfectly, as does Arathi potentially.

I now fear them bringing back Illidan. They’ll have him hug it out with another version of Gul’dan, won’t they?

Yeah the message is that whatever differences may lie between the elves we all are one… The interactions I can forgive, but the voice acting? The way they just nonchalantly accept this is the new norm… That for the ren’dorei/sin’dorei divide should of been more dramatic or divisive.

This made no sense. What magical power does the crown have? Well let’s ask the new arbiter! It’s magic! Don’t justify it just throw it in the Dawn well cause kumbaya for the elves!

Anasterion’s lawbook: “The world is lawless. In Quel’thalas, we find justice.”

Unless you’re Alliance High/Void Elves. You just get to get away with your warcrimes.

To be clear, Troll mains have actually wanted Troll unification for over a decade now

Y’all got something you didn’t ask for

We actually want Troll unity lol

I cannot fathom what you don’t like about the Amani unless you wanted another Troll-genocide-villain-bat with only a minority of Amani siding with us instead of the majority

Yeah it’s never been known to have magical power and I’m sure they could get a hold of Velen and have him help. I think he does come back (or at least I remember him on beta). This is the consecration of the Helm of Domination all over again. They just don’t learn!

Keeps glitching out for me but of the 30 seconds I’ve heard it sounds like Arator is going to get all the much more experienced, older, more respected, lore filled characters to all love each other and work together with the power of sunshine and rainbows.

Can we just villian bat another Horde member and fight a war for 2 expansions again? Never thought I would miss that.

Be careful whatcha wish for mon! You may just have it!

Second line of Anasterian’s Law Book, “Ignorance is bliss! Love thy neighbor… as long as they’re elven.”

I beg people to understand that there is a point between just not getting along and not forgiving everything before and outright genocide. Maybe you mean that Blizz can’t write like that, but it’s the exact problem that I have with this writing.

Almost makes you wish for Danuser writing, eh?

Good lord I didn’t even think of that. Poor void elves.

If anything, it was his writing that got us here.

I mean his ‘OC’ race is playing a key role in this expansion even though he no longer works at Blizzard.

So no, I do not want Danuser writing back.

Good news after Midnight we won’t matter! Nothing matters! Void Elven lore has reached it’s zenith and nobody will mention Void Elves again… Least not for a decade. :man_elf:

At least the Mawsworn, Maldraxxi, etcetera all looked bucking badass.

True, though. Danuser’s the one that got us in this mess to begin with.

atleast the dead elves are remaining as part of the forsaken.

I feel like Shadowlands could of been so much better if the Jailer wasn’t Zovaal and that they just allowed more time to build up the Mawsworn and explain their motives. Same with the Maldraxxi’s role outside the Shadowlands. Give us just a tad more story telling before ugh Pelegos… I try to block out as much of Shadowlands lore as possible save Sire Danathrius. The only good raid boss and story in that expansion… I refuse to acknowledge how dirty they did Sylvanas and Tyrande. The whole Elune takes away her powers and suddenly Tyrande chooses forgiveness for her people. I liked how in Dragonflight not all the elves were so eager to forgive and forget Teldrassil, but by Elune was it bad. I refuse to reminisce more of that rabbit hole.

The Undead Night Elves got returned to the Alliance at the end of Dragonflight. We even got a few Undead Quel’Thalas Elves join the Void Elves, too.
