Spoiler: The little girl in her warbringers cinamatic was her daughter with a babysitter. She had her with Nathanos, she was telling the babysitter to get the baby to safety. (One last visit before mommy sacrificed herself.)
When see say her daughter dead she broke. ALL of this is about the fact that none of these char’s in the shadowlands seem to be able to be with their families. In fact they seem to forget all about them and get cought up in their roll as the memories get purged or drawn out of them as anima.
She wants to fix the afterlife by whatever means she can so she can be a family again in death. The jailer is just a means to that end, that she used to trust. However by his own actions I think she knows now that she backed the wrong horse.
I think she is going to end up as a Valkir with her own covenant in the end. We will probably be grouping with her in the fight to stop the jailer.
garrosh didn’t die in his raid either, so if she is raid bossed (as the pattern shows for blizzard turning the warbringers into raid bosses) and she gets away, it will literally be garrosh 2.0
If anything we won’t kill her in the raid , she will do some kind of redemption thing after we weaken her like freeing Anduin from the jailers grasp causing the Jailer to kill her or Tyrande does the kill steal causing her 3rd death as a banshee ushering in the coming of death to Azeroth .
At the hour of her third death, she will usher in our coming.
9.2 will take place on Azeroth maybe they will do an updated version of ICC as the raid since it is supposed to be the Azeroth version of Torghast.
Blizz would never ever kill off such a polarizing character. The shock and awe wouldn’t be there because so many people are ready for her to die. No, they’ll let her redeem herself then shove her in a corner in the Maw, or whatever new zone that comes in a patch, until needed for a future exp.
What if something happens in the raid where once we weaken her she does something say like freeing Anduin from the Jailers control and he kills her for doing it or she does the same and Tyrande shows up and kills her after doing her act of redemption .
It might be the compromise both sides can live with .
She still has those Val’kyr that can bring her back. I think there three left she can use. So unless Blizz comes up with someway to get rid of them there’s no permanent way of keeping Sylvanas dead which would make that dying after redemption a pretty weak gesture.
That is unless her body is cremated at the end. Then Blizz doesn’t have to worry about the whole Val’kyr thing and everyone gets what they want.
A majority of her life was good. While I acknowledge blizzard has made the rules make no sense by virtue of the not actually applying the rules to the denizens of the universe, if the rules DID apply Sylvanas would not go to the maw. On balance she would probably show up in Maldraxxus and less likely ardenweald.
Because the Balance of Sylvanas’ life was not her being a big bad. In fact even if you assume that her tossing herself off icecrown was when she first came under the jailers sway, that means only a small portion of her life was under this thumb and even then she spent years after fighting the legion and deathwing etc.
Blizzard has suggested its the balance of a life that matters when you go to your final resting place in the shadowlands but over and over again they seem to be making it about what was happening in your life as you died but even then it is still a mish mash. Vashj is in Maldraxxus. Suggesting her final actions in life were not the defining reason. Kaelthas is in Revendreth, suggesting his final actions in life WERe the defining reason.
Arthas was tossed into the maw by uther and it was made a big deal out of - which suggests he WASNT Going to the Maw - which suggests his actions as the lich king were NOT the defining reasons for wherever he WAS going to end up.
I’ve been saying since the 9.1 trailer that it seems pretty obvious they’re setting Sylvanas up to die as a “hero” by saving Anduin.
She clearly seems remorseful for helping the Jailer get Anduin in the 9.1 cutscene.
There’s one thing that Sylvanas has been consistent about, and that’s free will. She just helped take that away from Anduin. I don’t think it’s something that would sit right with her.
I could see her doing it, believing she has the Val’kyr that can resurrect her, only for Tyrande to show up, revealing she killed the Val’kyr in the Maw. (where Tyrande has been since the expansion launch)
Which essentially appeases both sides. Sylvanas dies as a “hero,” but Tyrande is the one that kills her by killing her Val’kyr.
Tyrande is being set up as either the boss of 9.2 or the final boss of SL, to be honest. I doubt we’ll kill her, but she’s definitely being set up as a raid boss.
Simple solution to that could be they are really minions of the jailer and he orders them not to rez her or option B say it is on her 3rd banshee death and she dies ,it never said on her permanent death .
Sorry to say I really don’t want to see that happen, even being alliance. Sylvanas is a really well thought out character with a good back story and explainable reasons why she has done what she has done.
I’d like to see some kind of Salvation story line for her because the Character was so well developed over the years.
