Because prepatches are usually 4 weeks.
That said I just hope they give us an extension of a day so we have what little two weeks we were already told.
You people ruin every launch. PTR For over a month to have a launch push backed to 3 am. Terrible company

Waiting and waiting and waiting. What a waste of a night. Having thought for sure 1am EDT was going to be it. I was mistaken.

Don’t you mean, 3 am EDT? Or are you extending it another 12 hours on top of the current 2 hour maintenance?

I struggle to understand why they would not just announce that pre patch is now going to be tomorrow or next week or whenever it is actually going to be ready. Stop with the bs updates making us all waste our time waiting.

Maybe you should announce a longer delay, and then open it earlier to make everyone happier, rather than irritate us by announcing a delay again and again.

This is stupid, the game is down for a whole day.
After nearly 16-17 years, this company still can’t launch a new expansion correctly.
Then again, nearly everyone originally from Blizzard is gone, so it isn’t surprising that the team currently in charge doesn’t know how to do it either. It can also be said that the majority of us really don’t know how this works behind the scenes, and it’s probably harder than what we all think it is.
So, some slack can be cut. Thank you Kaivax for the feedback, I know you probably won’t reply but I know you’ll see it, since you’re the best community manager around and you actually read these forums.
I know you’re just a community manager, and I don’t know what your powers are like, but I imagine they’re mostly limited to the forums. If anything, you tell the higher ups what’s going on in the forums. So, if there’s anything to be gained from this extended maintenance situation…
Can you please tell the devs to extend the pre-patch date? We’re already half a day behind on leveling, so if it could just be extended by a week that would be great.
Also, please tell them to reconsider the fresh TBC servers. The community seems rather divided on it, but, no one would be forced to play on them, so in the long run it satisfies the players who want them and it doesn’t affect the players who don’t.

Lol some of us are still nightowls. I don’t even get on till 8pm PDT and am usually on till like 3am PDT.
(And I’m central, 2 hours ahead)
Curious how the servers are up and running in Korea but you can’t figure it out here.
