Tried this. Still get black screen, then crash.
I thought I was cooking with gas on my backup Mac which is a 2009 Mac Pro with 96Gb ram and a RX580 lol
Thanks blizz, really enjoyed being able to play tonight… nimwitz… hopefully they get replaced by AI one day so we can have a good gaming experience.
Thanks. That might fix connection issues, but won’t do diddly to fix the app crashing issue.

Gotta love when this game just doesn’t work when they say it will…incredibly frustrating.
I should get all my pvp set pieces for this lol

running Mac OS 11.7 and I cannot update further to a newer OS.
Amazing! Can’t wait to play this new patch way later that everyone else.
What type of compensation are we getting for this neglect?

Thank you for the update,
It makes it a bit easier knowing things are being looked into.
Hopefully it gets figured out soon.
Battle Net just updated again but still getting a crash when launching the game:

The start of Microsoft take over… kicking MacOS to the gutter.
Same on Mac book pro 2013 Big Sur 11.7.2. I open wow through battlenet app and get a black screen followed by a crash. If i open directly from wow icon in the applications folder I get sound and a black screen followed by a crash. Never does the login screen for wow appear.
I’ve re-installed deleted all settings, reset all in game settings, rebooted my computer, unisntalled recently installed programs. I knew immediately this was a patch that broke the game but thought maybe after the maintenance window was over that it would be resolved.
But still no. I have patch 10.0.5.47799 waiting for blizzard to push an update to resolve this issue. Wasted a lot of time troubleshooting. Even tried to make a support ticket, but for whatever reason the ticket creation refused.
Going to be a boring night for me. I know its not blizzards fault, but lets be real they capitalize on my discomfort when not immersed in something so please fix it.
really… thanks again… for nothing… clown.
It is a bit funny in a way that somehow this error was never spotted before release im not sure how thats possible but they managed it

its fine for just AH stuff. I would never do raid or pop action. I just want it working again
blizz doesnt test anything, the monkey in the office too busy flinging poop on the wall while bladestorming as a warrior on the game. prob thought MAC was short for macadamia nuts and continued drooling while forgetting about us.
My 2 copper on this….
I write code for a living. To not test even once on the target platforms is or should be cause for immediate firing.
‘It compiled, should be fine.’ What a fricking joke.
Watch Blizzard is gonna fix this probably later tomorrow, and their way of making it up to us if gonna be giving us some shiet pet that no one would care about or even use…maybe even that is too much
