[Main Thread] Crashes on launch after maintenance Jan 24th

Thanks for the update.

Anablle im not saying your issue is unrelated
I don’t know. But you’re on a Mac support forum. You will be better served on the other tech support forum.

Latest update on the ticket that I raised

Your ticket has received the following response:

Hello!

We’re currently looking into a crash issue that can occur on somewhat older MacOS systems using particular Intel CPUs (as yours does). A solution is already being worked on, and should hopefully be deployable in the near future - matters should improve greatly then. Sorry for the trouble in the meantime!

Kind regards,

if No answer is better served sure
I just wanted the devs to know (like if they didn’t lmao) that is not a pc spec related problem, is the connection to the server what shuts it down, is client-server, has nothing to do with your pcs, maybe the ones getting it to work on ventura is because the client gets different permissions or gets better installed that leads to it not interrupting the connection, but is a client-server issue

still can not play this game i pay for.

You don’t know that.

we got hopium because a wow dev told us the same thing we’ve been told for the last 4 days
will it be fixed today? monday? tuesday? who knows
 they don’t even know.

I’m overjoyed at hearing that they want to release the fix ASAP!! This means I will most likely be able to cram the vault caps hardcore this weekend

Also wanted to say, impolite comments don’t help anybody. I can fully understand expressing our frustration honestly, I sure have in this thread, but being rude or aggressive towards the team behind the game (not the corporation, but the actual team members) is uncalled for

Make/Model of the system: Dell XPS 8500
Processor: Intel (R) Core (R) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
GPU: Intel (R) HD Graphics 4000
OS Version: Windows 10 Home 64-bit

It’s an older computer, but I keep it updated and have never had any issues running WoW until Tuesday when I started getting this error code. I, like others, have tried every available option to repair it and am still getting it.

Seriously, point frustration at the corporation for making decisions that cause these issues, not the developers or CS team that do as their told by said corporations

the team behind the game are the same team that didn’t test the patch prior to release

If you’ve ever worked in development, you would know there are multiple teams involved in testing / release , and their scope is largely controlled by the investments and guidance from executive leadership- so again corporation not developer

developers
corporation cares about SP, developers develop the game.

Thanks but it’s not all older macs. Many current macOS users are affected.
