What they did to Thrall is straight up disrespectful.
Honestly these new writerās pissed all over the old lore and characters, ruined them.

basically all of them at this point
weāve gotten no real new ones that have lived long enough to be worth caring about, and the ones that do live get close to no screen time
or sometimes they do live, but they literally sit in a corner in oribos the entire expansion

I was deathly ill of Thrall after MoP/WoD.
Iām six feet under of Thrall after SL.

I would have really liked it if Thrall had met his dad, though.
Sadly pretty much all of the ones always showing in cinematics and basically everywhere, and the fault is on the writers and choosing who to always frontline while simultaneously ruining the characters.
How much of that is writing?
Or, at least, whatever Blizzard seems to call, āWriting?ā

Sylvanas by a mile. I could tolerate her if her story was told properly and not this nonsense redemption BS. She was setup perfectly to be a tragic villianā¦it completely ruins her to be told āit really wasnāt meā¦it was my bad other half but Iām still gonna talk like Iām all broken up and guilty when the camera is on me but deep down I donāt care cause I got a scapegoatā.
Illidan is next. DHās in general are SUPER annoying with their emo edgelord crapā¦I should be allowed to cut down any DH who DARES to ask ME what Iāve sacrificed/givenā¦no DH can ever begin to compare to the suffering imposed on DKās.
Bolvar but only because what a truly pathetic lore character he has turned out to be. All he ever does is whine how he canāt be near the helm again yet Darion Mograine is front and center ready to suffer and sacrifice for the good of all. Even as far back in Legion, he literally did nothing of note but command us from afar.
Thrall needs to stay retired. I get he didnāt get much say in coming to SL, but his story is done. He got his peace with Garrosh and his own internal self esteem issues, he did his shaman thing and helped heal the world, he made his babies, and heās obviously out of depth as a warrior anymore. Stay retired green Jesus.
Atm Im getting sick of Taeliaā¦ following us to the realm of death and to ZM just to whine to her daddy about him not calling her.

Just about all of them. They killed most of the interesting characters and ruined the other half of them. This story is truly awful.
Granted, there are still characters I like but they arenāt particularly relevant at the moment.
Just imagining how much better the story would be if Varian, Saurfang, and Volājin were still around properly and the writers were half decent makes me sad for the current state of affairs.
Volājin being a loa is kind of cool but like the majority of things in this expansion, wasnāt executed well.
ā¦Varian and Saurfang showing up for like 10 seconds was the highlight of the expansion for me. I have to be honest.
