Yep, you’ll want to open a ticket and iirc, make a post over in Bug Reports so QA can bring it to the devs’ attention.

only the OP had his mail cleared 99% of them had opened a ticket.

The SFAs were given special dispensation to help alleviate wait times by doing this while ticket times were extremely high. It seems as though that dispensation has run its course and people who want their mail deleted must now submit a ticket and do it through the proper channels. These generally get taken care of pretty quickly.
