Mages....Non-Aoe Leveling

I leveled doing mainly questing I did a few dungeons I didn’t do the aoe dungeons only did them when I had the quest, AOE spaming is boring.

If it makes you happy, then
an ye harm none; do as thou wilt.

My feelings on the matter.

Raid leaders may have different thoughts as may dungeon groups.

I try to keep my spells useful and current for solo, group, etc. I just farm more gold than otherwise. I may be walking at level 40 because of that, but maybe not.

I could see aoe gold farming to help myself buy the level 40 mount.

1,000 gold for epic seems far in the future from my perspective.

Its basically fishing, but for XP.

I did aoe cath farming for 2 levels at 39.

Did one level solo aoe farming murlocks in swamp of sorrows.

Occasionally will grab large packs i can aoe when i see them near a quest im doing, like the ogres and bloodsail pirates in tanaris.

Other than that just out here questing :sunglasses:

I’m questing, and reading every single line of text. I’m a few bars shy of 39, and I haven’t even stepped into SM yet!

That said, my Crescent Staff is showing it’s age. I do need to get some gear…

Well, I mean, YEAH.

Everyone caps at Level 60 anyway. But a long ride to 60 which the player finds enjoyable is more likely to reach 60 than a shorter one which the player perceives to be a dull grind.

Frost is better for both. If you want to level single target frost, you take frostbite and shatter, and blow things up with crits before they get to you.

it was getting a little boring just doing aoe grinding. I’m having a better time with how I’m approaching the game

I don’t… ever think I said it wasn’t <.<
