Hmm I’m a warrior, not a WW, WW seems to be way below the RADAR in terms of damage (like ferals).
But my criticism is that beyond control, mages do a lot of damage. Something needs to be adjusted, in my opinion it’s the control that needs to be nerfed and a little nerf to their damage.
I think the healing could stand to be toned down slightly. Torrent should nuke but imo having things like Unfurling Darkness (insta VT) crit 100k+ is a little silly.
I also feel like maybe DP should be undispellable but get a slight damage nerf.
Eh, no thanks, let’s keep hybrid healing strong. Spriest and Devoker’s hybrid healing should be the standard. (Buff Feral’s.)
2s is way more fun when double dps is good due to hybrid healing, and it’s not just a healer/dps or rogue/mage-fest.
Kinda of an outdated design
Strong healing or mobility is a trade off for lack of good defensives or something else but you have to look at a spec as a whole not just say oh hybrids should heal a lot because hybrid
People who complain about spriest damage are unironically exposing themselves as bad interrupters lol
My experience has been that SP reliably heals more than other hybrids. They also have numerous defensives: Dispersion, Life Swap, Desperate Prayer, Vampiric Embrace, Fade immunity, etc.
It only heals for more on the first Flash Heal in awhile of not casting it, due to the From Darkness Comes Light talent causing SW:P ticks to increase the next Flash Heal’s healing by 1% per tick, up to 50%.
That’s the culprit of their burst heals. Outside of that, Devoker’s healing is notably stronger.
And Vampiric Embrace is being nerfed in 10.1.5.
But again, devoker healing should be stronger because of spec design
Devoker’s weaker defensively with powerful mobility and strong self-heals.
Shadow’s stronger defensively with zero mobility and strong self-heals.
And Devoker is generally considered to feel relatively incomplete and in need of defensive/CC buffs.
Shadow also has better team utility and cc

I have no issue with the casted healing. I’m also not trying to make a compare/contrast argument with Devoker. SP has a very stacked toolkit, and while I don’t think they should fall over by any means, I do think they could use tuning to their healing output.
All you gotta do is train the Priest. Then he can’t run away, he can’t cast, problem solved… That’s what everybody does in arena. Immobile caster? Ohhh yah, there’s my B*tch…
Personally I feel like every class should have such robust toolkits like we had in MoP, with fast-paced damage and off-healing, because that feels better for everyone and is more dynamic and rewarding.

gotta say i totally disagree since the fix to fire mages, they seem overall fine, i havent lost to a single one since the fix, and sp’s already were dying, still die just as easily if you play it right, yea they do damage but if you take that away sp is just gonna disappear into the shadowrealm, i really dont think these are the classes/specs we should be complaining about right now
