Can only agree to this… or a fel kitty.
You still have hundreds of other transmog weapons to use. Bears have around five forms. Therein lies the difference.
How many flail models are there?
Irrelevant! You’ve still got hundreds of other weapons for transmog. Bears have around five forms. If you only had five weapons for transmog, that’d be different. But there’s four categories of weapons you can use, with hundreds of different looks.
Hmmmm. I guess I can call your opinion “irrelevant” too seeing as I see no difference in our logic.
So you skipped over everything else I said? lol
You can’t transmog one flail. But you can go into transmog and have the choice to make your weapon look like a sword, a mace, an axe, a polearm or a staff. So actually, five categories. Within those, you have hundreds of options to choose from! You could spend an hour choosing!
Bears? We see their bear form. So they go to change their bear form. They’ve got five options of their model. There’s no different categories of looks, no hundreds of other options. Just five models and some colorations of those same five models. That’s it. That’s all.
I’m sorry you can’t see the difference!
I didn’t skip over anything. But you clearly did. Fact is there is only 1 flail. There’s more bear forms than there are flails. Sure we can mog other things but to borrow your words, that’s “irrelevant”. There’s only 1 flail. A unique mog that is unlike any other mace in the game. You saying “mog something else” is the same as me saying “mog into one of your other myriad of bear forms”.
Sorry you can’t see the difference!
And there’s hundreds of other weapons you can transmog to outside of that.
There are more weapons than there are bears. When a bear goes to transmog, they only have five models to choose from. Not five categories of models, just five models.
Nope! Not how it works. When you lose out on one weapon model, you still have hundreds of others to choose from in five categories. Bears don’t.
Ah… so you just want to be snarky now, because you dislike the point that’s being made. Got it!
I tried to be nice, but if this is the path we’re going down, then I’m sorry you’re bitter. Have a good day.
i believe Prot Warr MT has a flail. still, only 2 in game.
Please refer to the discussion I was having just above.
Sorry, the world doesn’t work that way, bub. You can try to dismiss facts but facts are facts. Sorry you don’t see your own hypocrisy.
That’s not bitterness, that’s pleasure in pointing out hypocrisy. It’s one of my favorite pass-times. Let me know when you start being nice though.
I’m not dismissing anything. I acknowledged what you said very clearly and concisely.
A warrior goes to transmit his weapon. He’s got five categories of weapons to choose from and hundreds of models within them to choose from. So not just categories of different models, but tons of models within those different model categories.
A bear goes to transmog their bear. They don’t have different categories to choose from. They have five models to choose from. That’s it. Five models with some different colors.
Warriors? Five categories of models with tons of models within there and models with different colorations within there.
There is no hypocrisy. But if this is how you want to act, then I’m done interacting with you.
There is a reason they changed TW to level 50+. Under that you don’t have your full kit and yes, some of them are hard. I remember levelling my DK in TW, at around level 30 when I was tanking The Arcatraz I couldn’t even survive the mobs and the healer was max level.
And it’s the same for raiding. I done BT last time it was up and some our max level players tried tanking and couldn’t even survive the first boss, I had to take over tanking or we would never have progressed.
TW was not meant to be super easy free loot let’s go content, it still requires some effort like all content in this game and the number 1 rule in all situations from levelling normal dungeons in Classic to running end boss mythic raid fights, gear is king. No matter how good you are or how well you know the fights, if you don’t have the gear you will never pass no matter how good you are. The second most important aspect is knowing your class and how to use them, i.e. your skill.
Step 1, if you are struggling with any fight check your gear. Step 2 is to ensure you know what is happening, how to play your class, what the fight is, where you are lacking.
Where was that stated?
It was never “Fun”, for most of us, it was a teeth grinding challenge, you asked for it to return and Blizzard gave in to the cries. Your appropriate response should be “Thank You”.
This is what is printed on the Legion Time Walking return page… Conquer the Mage Tower in Legion Timewalking (worldofwarcraft.com)
When first introduced in Legion, the Mage Tower challenged players to conquer unique solo class-specific encounters. Legion Timewalking brings back the excitement with all-new rewards to obtain, and a chance to prove your tenacity. Are you a master of your class? It’s time to put your knowledge and skill to the test once more!
I don’t believe the word “fun” is in there.
Tenacity, Master, Knowledge, and Skill, those are your key words for the mage tower.
Thank god dumb people like you don’t get into dev teams
Ah, I see you’re the kind of person who’s a bit detached from things. Let me make it more obvious for you. You didn’t acknowledge anything. If you had, you wouldn’t say something like “mog into hundreds of other weapons” knowing full well that none of them are flails. A flail is not the same as a mace or a 1h sword btw. A simple google search will tell you that. Flails also have physics affects to them. Swords and maces have none. I.e. there is as much difference between the warebear and the regular bear as there is between a mace and a flail. Both are entirely difference models. In fact, the flail has even more uniqueness than the warebear since the flail has its own phyics affects too. The warebear uses the exact same animations as the regular bear does.
So if you had actually acknowledged anything, you would have realised that. But you didn’t. You seem to be happy to just shut your eyes and ears and go "lalalalalalalala".
Hoepfully you take this as a learning experience for you. Until then, I’ll have you on ignore so you don’t bother me with such hypocrisy in the future. mkay bye.
Says who? It’s a solo challenge for only cosmetic reward. Let it be as hard as they can make it.
I’ll say this one last time. I acknowledged everything you said very nicely and very clearly. I continuously gave examples of the comparisons and showed very concisely the differences.
We’ve gotten along for years, but suddenly you’re this mad over one weapon appearance out of hundreds that you have? You’re usually a very level headed person. I’m disappointed that you decided to take this conversation in this direction and devolve to insults. Over one weapon appearance.
im mad and determined lol… if they are gonna make it as hard as the original at least let me have luffas
I never did the Mage Towers in Legion. I quit before it was a thing and didn’t come back in time to do it. Took down the MT for Holy Priest though EZ PZ. This is a new (old) challenge with new rewards. It’d be dumb to just give people tons of new updated rewards based off stuff they did forever ago. If you were able to do the MT in Legion you should be able to now.
Also you don’t need special gear. I used the current Shadowlands Full PvP gear and a ring from Mythic +. All the gear is scaled to 50 ilvl so it’s really just what stats you want. I chose Haste/Vers stack.
