Pardon the wall of text to those that read the below.Completely agree with you. I’ve heard literally every single argument for bringing back the Mage Tower appearances. But one thing many don’t use as a defence which I think is valid is it’s a reward for loyalty. You paid a sub way back. When others weren’t paying for it. Supporting Blizzard. Mage tower wasn’t some percentage chance drop. It was guaranteed. IF you put in the work.

“ I was too young” “ I didn’t have money” “ Life was hectic at the time” “ I didn’t even know wow existed” “It was trivialised at the end of the expansion” After nearly a decade we have all seen every excuse under the sun. But as you said, Blizzard said it wasn’t coming back, before it was released. During the time it was active. Warned us we had x amount of time to complete it when it was about to go. And many times over the years told us repeatedly no again and again.

I am a casual player for the most part. I only ever played my DK as frost spec seriously before mage tower. I hadn’t ever touched UH or Blood. But seeing those sweet weapons I levelled every class to max, learnt the basics of healing and tanking. Learnt over a hundred new skills and abilities. Geared all my toons and beat my head on the keyboard until I got 36/36.

I wasn’t good at it, I recall the frost mage challenge took over 200 attempts. I had to farm those attempts too. It’s easily my greatest achievement in wow. But it cost me too. I was so wiped out I didn’t play for about 8 months. And I didn’t even get a sweet title to prove it :frowning: hahaha. Now for the obligatory “we all have an opinion disclaimer” but I for one do not want them returned. Give us more time limited solo challenges please. But, I’m sure in 2 years people will rage that it was time limited

really?

because you got gladiator in the first season that you ever pvp’d in DF season 4… you went from unranked to gladiator in under 3 days…

thats very impressive!

i would like an honest opinion from you: do you genuinely believe that doing the mage tower appearances was harder than getting gladiator?

dragonflight season 4 was a very hard and deflated season since not many people played.

i remember Ziqo and Hydra and Pshero tried for a few weeks to get their glad mounts in DF season 4 and they couldn’t do it. (these are all former multi-rank 1 gladiators - and Ziqo is a former AWC competitor)

but there you were, you got it in under three days! bravo

I like watching your arguments fall apart and you squirming to pull them back together.

Its hilarious

We are less than two week away until the next patch, its not coming back.

this poster “earned” gladiator in 3 days and talks about how hard it was to also “earn” the mage tower appearances, its shameless lol

at this point, it’s becoming a cliche.

and that’s the truth - the game gains nothing from having these appearances locked away.

i have the mage tower weapons and i don’t see a purpose in not making them available for everyone to get.

It was indeed a wall, but I read the whole thing.
It was a well thought out and good wall.

11/10.

Blizzard said no to CM items coming back.
No CM items have returned.
Using Classic as an example is just bad.

Probably because they paid for it… :person_shrugging:

All he has is the braindead idea that everyone who doesn’t want them back all somehow paid for 36 pilot sessions and all evaded bans. It’s the only thing he can cling to because otherwise it’s just his crap opinions against others.

if we’re living in a world where someone can get gladiator in three days and not get banned, anything is possible LOL

No. If you didn’t play then, you shouldn’t easily get what was a pain in the rear then, today. Blizzard can just put new colors/skins in, and let everyone have a go at it, but the old ones should stay off-limits. Should also go with the AOTC mount as well imo. same argument there too. What’s the point of even working your rear off for aotc when you can just wait for a remix and get it super easy?

Lets be real here

Blizzard doesnt have GM’s. They have automated processes that get triggered by reports

I can probably confirm this.

That is interesting, especially given you said former rank 1 players couldn’t even get glad that season, so theyd have to have two of the best players in the world carrying them if that’s what happened. To carry a potato 2v3 to glad in a season where actual rank 1 players struggled on full teams. That doesn’t sound super likely either. Curious either way, but I don’t know how it’s relevant to MT.

If the dude spent a thousand+ dollars on tokens to drop a gold cap on a glad carry from some absolutely insane players I am sure Bliz loves tf out of that tbh. If he liked the mount that much more power to him I guess. Hell I got tired of farming Sha years ago and probably spent the same on tokens to get gold cap and buy Onyx Cloud Serpent from BMAH. Woulda been way better spent on a glad mount in hindsight. My wife got it to drop during anniversary in Tanaris a week in so that was funny.

the thing’s i’ve seen in these threads the past couple days…

people coming in here trying to garner sympathy about how challenging the mage tower was and hard how they worked to earn it, but then everything else was an obvious purchase.

it’s shameless… there’s just no other words for it… its shameless.

Except it wasn’t at the end of the time frame, they should have scaled the numbers better

yeah it was completely faceroll in argus questing gear, but either way, im just done with this lol.

these people are absolutely shameless, they just buy everything and then tell a sob story about their “hard earned work” in the mage tower

all you people who desperately need for the mage tower to stay removed, have fun with that and your purchased trophies.

y’all too much for me lol
