Mage tower proves scarcity makes things valuable

Or maybe it’s in yours? We clearly are not going to agree on this.

I’m sure they’d be extremely popular from a vendor for 12 marks of honor.

Sure, because new mog is new mog. In a few weeks, it’ll be played out.

I’m not the one that thinks the pixels my toon wears confers some kind of prestige.

It does, in game, it won’t make a real difference in yor life tho.

I think we’re going to need more data. I personally don’t like the sets. I think YOU want to believe what you say is true, and YOU want to believe that everybody is going to envy and admire you and want to be like you.

Actually, you’re wrong, as often happens when people like to assume things, I’m just using it because i like this one in particular, have half of them, using only 2-3.
If you wanna know about scarcity i don’t need to provide you any data in the game itslef, just look out for any basic economics 101.

I know that people envy my mountain dew bear form.

And my white og mage tower bear form.

Really, I knew Sargeras was a dead realm post-BfA, but not that dead.

On Stormrage, we hold Fel bear parties and pretty much everyone is invited since it’s already played out.

I agree that set in mop looks amazing compared to the one that came out Legion

Nah. I wasn’t interested once they announced that the new rewards would be a recolor set and the difficulty would be scaled up, haven’t done it since it released, don’t plan to, and am not quitting.

I’m still pretty vocal about the fact that I think it was a stupid move on Blizzard’s part, though.

Actually, I’m not wrong. The mage tower is popular, as stated above, because of the furbolgorilla skin and the mount. The mogs are meh.

Actually, this is silly. How much prestige did your toilet paper collection bring you when covid hit?

In real life people collect things they like. Not to prove they are superior to other people, who actually don’t really care about your Blizzard statues.

If you’re here in the forum to demand respect, that just means you know you aren’t getting it in the game.

You mean the set that looks like a sunburned potato had a major acne breakout?

FOMO, exclusivity, and psychologically behind it shouldn’t be up for debate on whether or not its real. Yes, it’s a thing. It’s why hypebeast is so expensive and people still buy it. People on forums who say they don’t personally care about it or whatever are either arguing in bad faith or are speaking for themselves only.

Disagreed. But we’ll let time tell us. If people are still wearing their sets a month on it’s exclusivity, not that they’re new.

Thats not what I did, or what I said, in fact i didn’t mentioned prestige in my OG post, value≠prestige, but prestige can come with value sometimes, the fact the tower sets bring so much drama to the community means they have something valuabe to offer, be it prestige, a trophy to remind you of your achievment, or just the appearance in itself, all of them are a form of value, you’re attempting to link value solely to prestige to make anyone that disagrees with sound like a bitter person, wich it’s pretty bitter in itself.

Fury warrior, lol.

I never played a Fury Warrior and I beat it in 2 pulls. The first time I pulled it I literally had no idea what I was even supposed to be doing and got clobbered by a random boulder. I bet if I actually knew anything about the class and had watched the fight I could have done it in 1.

What a joke compared to Bear. Although TBH, all of the Warrior ones were easy. Prot Warrior took 11 pulls after having some beers, and then Arms Warrior took 16 pulls but also I know nothing about Arms Warrior, also did the fight blind, and had the wrong talent build initially (because I know nothing about Arms Warrior).

I really hope that next time they do this kind of thing the tuning is better. One class shouldn’t have 3 easy challenges while Bear exists.

All that said, on the topic of this post, I actually dig the Warrior mog, so even though I don’t think it has a lot of prestige, I’m still going to wear it on my Warrior because my warrior barely has any good looking mogs.

I think you said something along the lines…

It looks much better in games when proper lightning is applied, trust me.

No, I just like the Warrior set. Loved the Mythic green version, love this gold and silver and red one. The DK set I might switch out.

Bingo, none of this is about prestige. New mogs are new, and cool mogs are cool.

Oh I know, my warrior is wearing it until the event is over and then promptly going back to something that doesn’t look like a sunburnt potato full of pustules and acne.

:+1:

My only problem with the Warrior set is my Warrior is a Worgen and the boots don’t show up on Worgen so in the long term I may not stick with it. Otherwise I think it looks fantastic.
