a lot of people will still do this - so just because your friends get all excited about speculation and feel let down when they find out the rumor was wrong doesn’t mean more mature people do that. You always have to take speculation with a grain of salt. In any case, it is a good thing for your friends to learn this in a game rather than somewhere like the stock market.
Well, when people hear Mage Tower they immediately think Artifact appearance… Blizzard decided to change the challenge rewards to some rejected gear transmog and have the ignorance to wonder why the pushback…
Personally I think the hype should have ended the day they announced the reward change.

Me too. But I will only do it once and then never touch it again because it won’t have any of the interesting rewards that so many people want. It will be depreciated content very soon after launch.
There was never a reason to do it more than one during Legion once got the weapon
Really can not stress enough how it should have been handled. A unique color, heck even if the “glow” or “outline” is white (which would fit with Korthia’s blandness) Still allows the people that did the Mage Tower in Legion to /flex by using the original Model and colors, AND let those that have not given a chance to have that Model with that single color. Even the people (which is really all of us) that did the original Mage Tower would want to do it again for that additional color.

Your fault for not playing during the very specific point of time it was available. It would crush the special snowflakeness of people if other random people suddenly had weapon skins that they got by virtue of playing during that very specific point in time that Blizzard arbitrarily decided to make a special period of time with content that gets removed where the vast majority of other content remains accessible for players to get years after it is no longer relevant.

Why are you complaining about not having the mount. It’s your fault for not doing the 7 challenges during the 3 weeks out of the year it has been available. Learn to plan out your life better before coming in here acting like blizzard has done you wrong.

you are correct the majority of other content does remain accessible but the two prior expansions to legion also had time limited content, so it would have been silly not to pay attention for 6 years and then complain you missed out.
There is no rhyme or reason with what gets removed, outside of things explained by the tradition to which it was set initially. And traditions are only established when something is done twice during a discernible iteration. As an example there being a tradition of seasonality associated with glad mounts having an established precedent of removal created at the onset of arena.
No precedent or reason was established for the removal of the two things you were inferring other than a mechanical one and blizzard ushering people to the newest attraction (next expansion). Same can be said of mage tower.
oh ya i had no interest in mage tower until later in the expac. did the ones i cared about in whatever pvp gear i had. forgot to get the outlaw weps, but aw well. my own fault.
btw man phoenix community is dead, why you still in one of its boosting guilds for herald? xd legacy players always been a bit fickle minded.

Because I haven’t touched this character in a while since my schedule got messed with and it’s a forum character for now.
Why would hype continue when people can just whine about the usual hot topics. And ya the recoloured tier sets are lame but whatever.
I would of enjoyed recolored weapon appearances.
K. Then delete void elf customization options, because no high elf appearances for void elves was an equally firm stance.
