Don’t care. Even if I don’t like him myself, it is annoying how people like you come in trying to derail threads
And what was the point of this thread? Bepples posting some videos.
The irony is you’re literally doing the same thing. Get over yourself.
Good kill vids.
They derail plenty of threads, so I don’t see a problem.
Anyways i’m excited to try out MT as BM and Surv myself!
When you do please share your thoughts on the challenge. Like others opinions on the difficulty of them.
And to any MSV players reading this… I would love it if you could upload a video of yourself completing the Mage Tower challenge on MSV.
We already have videos for BM and MM. We need the entire set!
I have done the MM challenge now as well and used a slightly different approach than Bepples. I went in similar, but felt like i was wasting too much time on killing adds.
So i swapped to full ST setup 1121232 to burn the boss faster.
I didnt use any cds at the start and just slowly beat him down. Once the boss came up, i popped everything, BL+pot and went pure ST on the boss. One tar trap was set before that and that was enough to keep the adds at bay for that time. Once the phase ended i used the time kiting the boss to finish up the adds, so i could go into the next phase cleanly.
When the boss came up the next time, i did the same thing. One tar trap set up in advance and blast the boss in pure ST (no multis even with adds around).
I used tar trap, binding, concuss and frost trap to keep the adds and kite-mob away from me and just tunneled the boss. Careful Aim helps a lot with the casting hands and this will make you kill the boss the fastest.
Yes since I tried it the first time I found it’s a lot better to run Careful Aim and Lock and Load and avoid the adds entirely outside of the 2nd warrior phase (since you can spend as much time as you want there you might as well clear the adds from the first warlock phase). I do keep Streamline because I can’t be bothered managing Steady Focus while doing everything else.
I just recorded this a few hours ago for someone in the Discord to show that you don’t need the best trinkets to clear it and in it I use Careful Aim and Lock and Load:
If you kill raest you win, you don’t have to kill both?
No. You only have to kill Raest.
Is your pet a reg kodo? for tanking him or?
MM pets shouldn’t be tanking in the Twins fight. You want to kite all the mobs.
The pet is there for Leech and Primal Rage (Ferocity pets).
It’s recommended that you run with gorillas or scalehides (like that kodo), because they have the best survivability out of all MM Ferocity pets.
Since the pet isnt really taking any damage and its not tanking, i used a wolf.
Also Ferocity and it has a slow that can reduce the amount of Concs i had to use for kiting. Its not major and any time the caster boss was attackable i sent it on him instead anyway.
Of the three hunter ones what would be the easiest since we can zone in on that spec then change to our most played.
I have seen people have different takes on the diffculty of these challenges, but heres mine:
I would consider the BM one the easiest, since it is pretty formulaic. Everything that happens, demands a clear action from you.
Worm casts → Fear
Tugar casts → Cycle Kick/Frost Trap
Totem → Arcane
You dont really have damage constraints and can take your time to do it, the only difficulty is focusing for 10 minutes and not slipping up while doing it. The tunnel phase can get a bit hectic, but this is probably the height of difficulty in this challenge.
to make the tunnel phase easier, you can save your barbed shots and BW for the adds. One barbed shot each, use BW to reset barbed shot, and beast cleave. Adds die really quick this way and the phase is much easier.
