That’s really interesting. I wasn’t part of the discussion around MoP Remix, but I suspect there wasn’t as much of a fuss around CM appearances not returning. I think they probably thought people would be upset, and then just get over it like they seemed to about CM appearances.
However, the way MT is portrayed is that it was a main feature loved so much it was reworked and brought to retail. It also was augmenting one of THE main features of the expansion(artifact weapons), which to this day are loved for their appearance. It’s such a glaring hole not to have the MT return for Remix aside from the return of appearances. On the appearance topic, I honestly didn’t expect the original ones (I disagree with that decision), but I was expecting some sort of crazy new cosmetics to a returning Mage Tower.

This is a great point I hadn’t considered and from someone that was there to get some of the appearances. I’ve played Monk exclusively since MoP, and only recently considered returning to my original Rogue from Vanilla/TBC/Wrath. Had I played in Legion I would only have Monk cosmetics, and it’d make feel big sad not having the Ghost daggers - well even more sad than it does now, ha!

Challenge modes evolved into Mythic Plus. They were way more beloved.
And yes, people pitched a fit about CM’s for MoP also.
Honestly I want the opportunity to re-earn my glaive appearances… I completed the tanking challenge on my DH, Server transferred him for RP reasons and was stripped of my appearance (not the first time ive lost mog items either but this is the worst one as I cannot re-earn them again.)
