Mage PvE Tuning Looking to Miss the Mark Again

Why are we still overlooking Mage survivability?

Defensive concerns remain completely ignored.

No defensive improvements.
No Barrier scaling updates.
No Alter Time adjustments.
No passive mitigation.
No sustain improvements.

A passive 5% stamina or armor increase would arguably have done more for high-end gaming stability than these DPS adjustments, simply by smoothing incoming damage and reducing healer strain.

Frost is still good in raids, viable in Mythic+, but far from optimal. Arcane is still effectively dead in high-end PvE. Fire might see some improvements in raid.

Fire Mage, an 8% Pyroblast will bring some raid value on certain fights, (Will it compete with frost?) but it won’t bring the spec close to viable in keys.

Arcane gains nothing.

What Mage players have actually been asking for is survivability and utility modernization along the lines of but not exclusively, Invisibility DR, Mirror Image DR, and moving double barrier across the board.

We want adjustments to survivability baseline before more small, unimpactful damage tuning.
