Mage gets hotfix every day but rogues get nothing for months

Between the eyes is still bugged, vanish is bugged, stealth is bugged, killing spree is bugged….core gameplay issues ignored. Mages get their 12 hotfix since release.

bro mage is emperor tier when it comes to the adoration they get from the devs

rogues are like…lawyer tier. avoid at all costs. the leper class.

how many expansions did it take for SnD to become a passive? children grew up during that time, fathers and grandfathers died. it’s bleak. there’s an extra cost to pay to play this class.

all this being said, rogue is still the best tear extractor in wow.

At this point, guilds are allowing Rogues to exist because they are a reminder of days past, they are a keepsake novelty. Getting rid of Rogues is like getting rid of Polymorph or something: no one actually uses the spell outside of PVP, maybe they use it in Delves, they probably don’t even use it in PVP in BGs since Frost mages apply a dot now somehow. Every Mage spec applies a dot now, good luck using Poly.

Anyway, Rogue is an antiquity, whenever you see one in the open world you’re like “Oh crap, it’s a Rogue!”

Put 3 levels into my rogue so far and decided it wasn’t worth the hassle with the piddly attack range and flaccid talents.

Regardless of tuning, I think it’s a big miss on hero talents w the coin, deathstalker’s mark and killing spree.

“From stealth”, with such limited ways to bypass/restealth in PvE is pretty awkward/unfun.

Auto Thistle Tea is not fun and bad design IMO.

I think all of the specs have good fun potential in their rotations/damagenprofiles but a few key QoL things are ruining playing it for me. (Again not considering numbers)

That’s all of us. It’s like 99 QoL things or lack there of are souring our mouth. Like how Deathstalker wants double vanish, but if you take it you gimp your damage. Sin can’t do good AOE and good ST simultaneously, they have to choose between both, meanwhile Fury and FDK do 2 million burst on everything, no respeccing.

That was the philosophy under the old MoP talent grid which wasn’t good design. So I am baffled why Assassination and Sub Rogues have to choose between single target or AoE with the new talent system. Other classes and specs do not. have to make such harsh opportunity costs.

Outlaw has to take talents to just make Blade Flurry function properly due to the target hard cap.

I really wish they’d at least tell us what’s going on. Is it that they can’t find the problem, like they know there’s a problem but can’t figure out a fix. Are they incompetent? (That one has my vote) or are we getting a rework and they don’t want to waste time on fixes when they’re about to break 14 more abilities…

Not enough Rogue players playing as the population is low. They tune based on data they farm from live client to make decisions.

That is why they are do indecisive and can’t decide a direction because not enough Rogue players. But it is a vicious downward cycle in that the more time goes on the population shrinks. And with a shrinking population you have a shrinking data set to pull from.
