Mage boosting for gold

You are factually wrong, because the organizations that these changes effected do not exist in classic. They cannot advertise in classic the way that the retail organizations advertised because there is no crossrealm group finder. You are dumb and rattling on about nonsense. Yes you are not allowed to have multirealm boosting organizations advertising through crossrealm group finder on classic. This does not matter because it doesn’t exist in classic. I don’t understand how you can be so dense. Its also clear from that blue post that “boosting” in this context has nothing to do with dungeons or mages.

Organizations operating across multiple realms and excessively advertising non-traditional in-game sales are contrary to the terms and conditions of the Blizzard End-User License Agreement (EULA).

However, “boosting communities”, especially those who operate across multiple realms, are no longer permitted.

There aren’t boosting communities in classic. If you played retail at any point(you obviously haven’t) you would know exactly who this blue post was talking about. You inserted an obscure retail specific blue post to try and look like you knew what you were talking about when you actually didn’t.

This policy update does not restrict individuals or guilds from using the provided in-game tools (“trade channel” chat) to buy or sell in-game items or activities for in-game currency. However, “boosting communities”, especially those who operate across multiple realms, are no longer permitted.

Last I checked if i’m on dreamscythe I can’t buy boosts from Nightslayer. But yeah you’re factually correct that if people start advertising crossrealm boosts on classic they should be reported, good job on that lmfao

“especially those” implies that other types exist SIR. it would use the term “exclusively” not “especially” if it meant only those boosting communities. it’s a legal document word choice matter.

organizational boosting advertisements are occuring in fresh. ive reported 3 today already. literally in LFG and services “join our boosting community on discord message for details”

doesnt matter its an account wide ToS/EULA its not retail specific

You clearly have no idea what a “boosting community” was in 2022 when that post was made. This is one of the few times i’ve been surprised by how sure someone so wrong can be that they are right.

As of today, we will now prohibit organizations who offer boosting, matchmaking, escrow, or other non-traditional services, including those offered for gold.

Boosting in retail is completely different than classic. They mean completely different things and involve completely different actions.

i feel the same way about you. so we are at an impasse. the actual violators will find out who is right so whatever.

We won’t because those organizations don’t and can’t exist in classic. If you’re gonna start posting retail blue posts you should at least play retail to understand them. You’re actually the most wrong person i’ve ever interacted with on the forums, and thats saying something.

Organizations who disruptively advertise across all realms and establish escrow services are the primary target of this policy update. Guilds and individuals who are inviting players from another realm to join them in traditional game activities in exchange for gold are allowed, as they were before.

Heres the clarification that came later.

That depends on the definition of “financially”. If it means an exchange of gold only without a middleman entity, then it sounds like the same sort of guild activities players have been enjoying for 17 years, which are not the focus of this policy update.

This clarification was to stop “middle men” who would take gold for boosts, pay the boosters with cash and sell the gold. Which is why I said you had no idea what you were talking about, because you don’t.

It’s not banable but report them to help you have more clients. That’s what I did with every single noob that tried / try to undercut my Princess Theradrass kills services. Every time they advertised I would report them with my 5 accounts and then lie to other few more players to help me report them too, I just say they are bots or spamming in chat.

Next day or two I received a mail in game from Blizzard thanking me for helping Azeroth become a better world for everyone,:sunglasses::sunglasses:. My sales kept at 100g per hour profit, so BIG W

wow… No wonder people think WoW has a toxic community.

The OP asked a question and looks like he offended some people to the point where it obviously enraged them enough to start bashing him.

We’re not toxic, we just do what we have to do, the community isn’t toxic so who’s the toxic ? That’s right blizzard as always is the toxic here for creating toxic service channel which allows toxic practices which create toxic environment, toxic gameplay and toxic economy, the only way to have a less toxic experience in this game will be when blizzard stops being toxic, and by that I mean no more toxic mages,no more toxic warriors,no more toxic rogues, no more toxic PvP grinding for weeks, no more toxic low drops on raids, no more toxic RMT practices, no toxic botting and no more toxic glitches in dungeons like in ZF, Dire Maul North etc , this translates into no more toxic boosting

I hope we have a less toxic game.

Is “Chadtopg” some kind of RMT player or vendor? He is in every thread touching on similar subjects and arguing with every person with different views. He has definitely emotionally or financially invested in the subject, in a virtual world, amazing.

Hello. If someone buys gold. Usually the person who is being boosted.

The “dirty gold” is then transferred to the mage. That mage can either get the gold taken away from his account or be suspended. Lately, it’s suspension.

avg WoW form post really all the way back to 2004

You should try reading some time, all your questions will be answered by already available information. I’ve also always posted about being against RMT and buying gold and have never asked for gdkp back. GL next time you try to lie!
