I am not a .1% player, but I’m decent. My anecdotal experience after playing Aug all of s3 was that if one or both dps are not pulling their weight, all the Aug did was showcase that, because Augs can’t carry. The key then becomes rather agonizing. The keys I ran where both other dps were pumping literally flew by. I would either get friend requests/compliments after the key was done, or “all augs are bad” (usually by the lowest dpser.) In those cases I often found that the Aug became the convenient scapegoat to blame so they did not have to face their own poor performance - AND, that people had a much higher expectation of perfect gameplay from the Augment than they did the other players in the key. That said, I’m fully aware of the fact that there are/were a lot of poor Augmentation players out there.
I’ll be interested to try Aug again in the new season, as I haven’t touched it in the last two months.
