Mad props to you Normal server peeps

I have literally never had anyone ever speak to me out in the world ever. For any reason. Even when i deliberately stole something from somebody because i was bored of waiting for nodes to spawn for the quest.

Edit: Actually the only noteworthy time i ever remember somebody talking to me in the world was back in MoP when my warlock was a female blood elf when somebody wanted me to join their raiding guild because my character was cute, like…lol…

In my experience, no. But I’m sure others have had different experiences. You just don’t run into that many people while questing on RP servers. Which, to me, is nice! And the people I’ve run into actually help out. Healing, buffs, etc.

People on RP servers are just as bad IMO when they do display the bad behaviour (which I will still say I find rare no matter what the OP alleges).

I find RP server people in dungeons clannish/cliquish and snide.

Rich that you accuse others of allegedly insulting you, but guess what, your OP reads the way people are interpreting it…and you resort to actual insults. Mmmkay.

The way you have presented your story definitely made it seem like this has been a common occurrence for you.

I read it. Just doesnt make sense to make a topic about something, unless if your concerned about it. Sounds like you care moreso than your coming off. Even your title shows more concern.

Don’t be a snowflake. It happens rarely, and you learn that people with bombard you with frivolous comments like that in any game.

They are clannish/cliquish. Not just in dungeons. The ones who are self-aware enough not to behave that way rarely stay in RP guilds for very long, usually for that reason.

I have no problems with that; just keep your silly, lame in-jokes to your Discord/Party chat. It’s just rude, weird and off-putting when they type in Instance but then awkwardly leave the other 2 people out.

If you’re gonna let it out in the open, actually be open to everyone else on that side.

I am really curious to try an RP server now and see how different things actually are, Maybe even visited the dreaded goldshire. whats a decent server for future references.

So… you want to be included, but then you get pissy when people interact in such a way that allows you to be included because it’s, “Rude, weird and off-putting.”

I think you might want to reexamine your assessment of the problem.

Unless you’re running with a full guild group outside of yourself, this makes no sense. People may say hi to someone they see that’s on the same server, but I have no idea where you’re getting this “clique” and “snide” stuff from. Literally any guild run in a LFD can be like this. LOL

No. I didn’t.

Then you didn’t read it. At all. Because I was giving props to others who have had to deal with these things and making fun of my luck.

Just because someone makes a thread doesn’t automatically mean it’s some sort of serious QQ thread.

Guild groups, maybe. Outside of that… why would they be? Makes no sense.

Or you’re just way overly sensitive to some people chatting. God forbid. I’d rather chat in party chat to see if we can get the others involved and have some fun, instead of staying silent.

Don’t do this on MG. Ever. LOL

I mean…

…wut?

:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

How is questing not just questing on any server?

on big servers it’s a griefing fest…

it’s everyone for each other there tag or get the item before someone else.

That is a very good question that I do not know the answer to. My experience on RP realms has been what it has been – people were always standoffish in general toward me on RP realms.

Although, that may have been because they were all trying so hard to seem edgy and interesting.

Well, at least you have realistic expectations, champ. Go get 'em, and don’t let anybody put a blindfold on you.

on low pop servers I never had issues, that was of course until I decided to move to one of the last big servers for alliance for shadowlands.

trust me it gets worse… I’m kinda starting to miss being able to do quest in peace and not being worried if someone wants to take the item quest I’m trying to get… it’s just one example.

I’m not looking forward to shadowlands leveling at this rate.

The point was that they don’t interact in a way that allows the outside party to be included.

It IS weird, rude, off-putting, socially awkward to air out your in-jokes and make the outside parties feel unwelcome. Sorry if that’s distasteful to state in this day and age where social awkwardness is almost celebrated.

RP servers are limited CRZ, no sharding in old zones, and only with other RP realms. You don’t see that many people while questing around in lowbie zones.

There are a ton more Normal servers with many high pop servers, all CRZ’d without limitations, except for sharding. So there’s a ton more people in all different lowbie zones. Especially EK.

MG and WrA get snobby in cities. Never seen that happen outside of the RP itself, though.

Bunch of teenagers trying to be cool on their Belf DKs and Pallys, most likely. LOL Same with Human Pallys on MG. It’s a nightmare trying to RP around them.

I must be spoiled not playing at peak times when servers are all but dead. I have never had to deal with anything like that on any server type, no matter how large the server.

Okay chief, can you also please say I am a millionaire since apparently what you say instantly converts to truth?

There are multiple posters ITT telling you how your OP came across. Instead of just clarifying though, apparently you’d rather get mad. Whatevs.
