Cranberry sauce. Whoever hosts knows that I go through a whole can, and lately, my niece tries to match me to show that she likes it even more.
I don’t eat cranberry sauce the rest of the year, but if it’s Thanksgiving, you’d have to pry it from my cold, dead hands.
Why not both? Mix the two!

On our turkey day there’s no side dishes, it’s all about layering and judicious application of gravy.

Green bean casserole all the way!
I actually have a few main sides with my turkey. Green bean casserole is just one of them. Cornbread dressing, cranberry sauce, and to make my husband happy mashed potatoes with brown gravy.

Mac & cheese is fine and all, but green bean casserole is one of my favorites.
It is hard to pick the best of the two.
Only mac and cheese won for me because I love cheese.
I’m not American so green bean casserole is a new one on me. I am torn, it kinda looks nice but wthbbq that is a lot of onion, only eat outdoors??!?!

Green bean casserole. However I hate making it. lol
Our oven is broken this year so no oven cooking. Only stovetop or microwave.
I’ve got some thin sliced deli turkey I’m going to warm up with some gravy, mashed potato’s and candied yams. Green beans with onion, bell pepper and garlic. And probably a nice tossed green salad.
Desert will be pecan pie I buy at the market (they make it fresh and it’s actually pretty good.)
I always go with option C: Both
Baked acorn squash with chestnuts and apples and leeks
Also
Bourbon sweet potato casserole with… Bacon and pecans
Here in Canada Thanksgiving is over but we’re putting up our tree tonight and having some treats
