Raids are on a timer called Berserker Enrage.
True, enrage timers have been more meaningful in mythic this tier compared to many previous.
More options are always better, but timed raiding has to be an option. We have a guildie who is very nice, but no matter how many times we face an encounter, it has to be explained to her. We’d never make a mandatory timer 
I remember someone in a team that I occasionally ran with in BFA, where the only way they could kill heroic mekkatorque was to sac this player on pull.

That’s a fair point. Older or disabled players that already struggle with raid mechanics may find themselves avoiding raids if Blizz starts piling on affixes.
