Some raid trash is harder than some bosses in the raid.
Iâm sorry what?
And regardless of how over time that key is and how many deaths you have once you complete it u still get gear & a vault slot.
Can u imagine the outrage if the mobs jist disappeared upon a depleted key & you wère zoned out with big red text saying " failed" on the screen???
If people want the ability to try again without depletion I think thatâs a fair trade.
They keep citing âRaid bosses dont make you rekill themâ as their argument, so parity should suit them. No?
I think the choice should be there upon key activation, add a " hard mode " or something.
Why are players like you so locked into having a timer? You honestly think that MMO dungeons couldnât be tough without having some dumb timer?
Mythic 0âs had no timer & i saw plenty of groups ragequit after not being able to kill a single trash pack without the tank folding like a 2 dollar wallet.
What is it with you and timers??? What better way to put pressure on someone than a countdown timer.
It has LITERALLY been THE thing used in all challenging events in human history.
Why are players like you so afraid of a clock? Even if there wasnt one you wouldnt do it so why do you even care. Just do lfr and wq and pvp we arent asking to ruin or remove what you like.
Because content difficulty is at least in part derived from the need for numerical optimisation, and removing any sort of time pressure takes away that need.
You should be able to optimise your gameplay to the point an encounter can be dealt with in a reasonable timeframe, and if the boss gets big and red / the fire creeps in from the corners and burns you then you need to (Collectively) do better.
Heck the best boss in the raid right now has a pretty relevant enrage timer, and having that goal to get in under adds a lot of weight to everyoneâs actions and ability to handle the mechanics that fight has for the proceeding 6 minutes 30.
I think the clock just limits what the devs can do with dungeons, they said this in the developer Delve interviews back in Aug. The developers said that M+ really hamstrings them as far as creating unique small man content.
Right, this is the mindset of the audience M+ is aimed at, basically spreadsheet gamers.
Edit: Timed content present a ton of issues in a casual MMO like WoW, as well. All of this has been brought out on these forums. M+ defenders just canât fathom anything outside their play style.
I chalk this up to a lack of empathy in many ways, which tracks with the type of gamer that is attracted to M+.
They are more then welcome to create more mega dungeons, delves, whatever else they can think of without removing a end game pillar that many people love. Plenty of options for small group content without removing small group content
Having Maze + in the game is fine, it is the rewards that are the problem. Having this content part of the gear treadmill was dumb, rated PVP has the same issues.
Not trying to be rude about this but nothing about delves is giving the impression that they are capable of creating unique small party content either.
Maybe theyâll release new delves that are the scope of lower blackrock or even Scholomance. I think that would be cool. They could even up the rewards delve content vault. Every bountiful delve you complete and open the box for is the equivalent of a +10, wouldnât hurt my feelings at all.
But from what weâve seen of delves, I donât think that theyâd make anything exceptional in scope or play.
Its a geared based game, always has been, the gear treadmill is what the game is, if after all this time you dont see that theres no help for ya, i feel like on a fundamental level i just disagree with everything you think is good and i dont like you good luck on your cursade to remove content from the game cause clocks are scary
Is this some kind of weird chatgpt copy/paste bait? What does the world first race have to do with M+?
the whole game needs to be modernized but itâs a scary endeavor for them while this old cow still gives steady milk.
itâs a shame that to get a wow2, wow1 would need to die for a while.
no smooth âno waitingâ transition for us in this picture.
Every single raid boss has an enrage or soft enrage mechanic though
Yes because being good at your dps rotation as a dps being relevant for the hardest content in the game is a novel concept?
Want a cup of tea and a custard cream while you sit in that armchair?
Untimed dungeons as a stepping stone to raiding still existsâŚ
The fact they dont do this content is proof timers arent the issue. Bad players gonna be bad it is what it is pushing keyboard buttons can be a challenge for some people
