So “trust me bro” is your argument. Thanks.
Has nothing to do with trust you Dingus. It has to do with facts which you don’t use.
You don’t have any facts. You’re making stuff up as you go.
why is being an elitist a bad thing anyway. truly boggles the mind, you’re kinda like complimenting them as well as attempting to be rude
inb4 “taxation is theft!”
I’m 2700 IO as a complete non-meta spec and I don’t really like the dungeon rotation. Too many dungeons that are not fun (workshop, streets, grimrail).
The reality is, elitism is huge in the lower end bracket of m+ (15-18). The people that don’t really know what they’re doing but have watched some streamer do some wild thing and feel the need to flame people that don’t follow that or do things the way they want.
(Un)Balance and elitist is the elitism in wow.
Many people will try to help you. That is if you can get your foot in the door.
Not everybody who is successful and does mythics is going to be snobby. Snobs are snobby, no matter what way they play the game
I think it’s relatively accessible content.
My main issue with M+ is that group leaders are always going to pick the highest ilvl/rated DPS and DPS are a dime a dozen. So, even though you might be capable of doing the dungeon with 270 ilvl - it doesn’t matter because there’s 10 other dps with ilvl 285 and they’re going to get picked.
The system really sucks for dps specs, especially “undesirable” ones, like no one is gonna take a feral druid over a rogue or an ele shaman over a mage. This isn’t an easily fixable thing.
I’m fine with M+ existing as it’s own thing, but when it’s easier to do, easier to organize, takes way less time, gives far more frequent rewards, and the gear is on par with raiding, it’s absolutely ludicrous that when people don’t like M+ your response is “well just do raiding you can still do that”. Raiding should have the absolute best ilvl gear in the game. This is not an opinion, and thus is not up for debate. M+ gear either needs to either have a lower ilvl upgrade cap or raiding gear needs to drop at probably 300% or 400% the rate it does now. Gearing through raids the traditional way isn’t even in the same league right now as doing it through M+, and that’s complete clown world nonsense and everyone knows it.
Alternatively, have M+ not give gear at all, have it scale everyone’s ilvl to the same thing no matter what key you’re doing, and give it a massive amount of cosmetic and mount rewards, achievements and titles, etc. every season, etc. Then it will truly be the esports wank everyone seems to love so much and Blizzard clearly wants it to be.
Interesting, just say your opinion isn’t an opinion and it’s not up for debate.
It’s totally going to work. Anyone who was going to disagree will now agree. Well played.
It isn’t an opinion, though.
I know, you said it isn’t, so it isn’t.
You are so wise, you’re like miniature Buddha covered in hair
Well said friend, well said.
Raiding provides a max of 311, possibly multiple times per week from boss drops and GV, in addition to 304s.
M+ provides a max of 304 only once per week.
Your wish is already granted.
You seem to be referring to Challenge Mode dungeons, which were a thing once. Fewer players did Challenge Mode then than players do M+ now, and many players stopped doing Challenge Mode after getting Gold in all dungeons.
What you are proposing would basically kill the modern game’s most popular pillar.
What is your personal definition of “elitism”? If you look it up in official dictionaries, what is happening in S4 in M+ is a perfect illustration.
It’s really not. Vetting who you take to your own key isn’t elitism by any definition.
If I flaunt my high keys at you for no reason, sure.
If I mention my high key clears compared to yours during a discussion about M+, as a statement of credibility, no.
If I pick a mage or druid over you because they have higher score, also no.
If I don’t pick you because your score is low, no again.
Learn the meaning of words before you use them.
M+ is the most popular addition they ever put in the game, only thing that comes close is battlegrounds and arenas way back in vanilla/bc. If it was dead content they’d drop it like they did challenge modes or dmf instead of going all in on it.
Definition of elitism (per Merriam-Webster)
1: leadership or rule by an elite
2: the selectivity of the elite
3: consciousness of being or belonging to an elite
Hmmm, are the elites not ruling the roost when it comes to M+ groups? Are they not being selective when choosing applicants? Are they not conscious of who is elite and who is not?
Please introduce me to the super-secret Utopian non-elitist Group Finder that you are using to group up for M+, because the one that everyone else is using is overwhelmingly dominated by elitists.
You can make your own group and select the people you want to run with, just like the “Elitist” can. whats the issue?
No.
Next question.
