Enhance is fotm this season so really shouldnt be too hard.
we’re talking about healers here not dps
People are alwaysblooking for lust. You can use that to get yourself in.
you know that you can get lust somewhere else than a shammy right?
I frankly wouldn’t use Disc in Mythic+ unless you are massively over-geared. There is no real way to deal confidently with damage spikes, where as Holy has 3 or 4 “oh crap buttons” to lean on at any given time. With Disc, you’re using Radiance preemptively in many cases just to apply Atonement, and then hoping you can crank out enough DPS to override everything. Disc is the most unique healing spec, but it’s also the one with the least amount of options when things get scary.
I don’t really feel like that. I do feel that healing DKs is a bit weird. During some pulls they seem to get shot down to 30 % HP a d heal themselves up about 50 times in one pull. But otherwise I haven’t had any issues really. I do run resto druid, and I could tell it would definitely be harder with a healer that has to stand and cast more often. Alot of aoe to constantly get out of. And dmg
That’s just how they are. They can use healer support sometimes (especially when they’re trying to avoid proccing Purg and such), but they’re generally pretty self-sufficient and the spikiness is just something to get used to.
If a DK dies with CDs and RP, it was their fault (usually).
I really enjoy healing. Im aiming to get 2k mythic plus rating on a second healer by next week. Tbh gear makes a bit of a difference. The mythic gear isn’t spectacular I lvl until you get to about 18s to 20s. There are several people in my guild who have multiple healers on their accounts between 2k and 2200 including disc. I know it’s easier said than done but hit up the heroic raid get your I lvl up and it’ll be easier. It doesnt help that pugs don’t get better until you hit 13s to 15s. Even then it’s hot or miss. From what I have seen gearing up my other healer 1 to 12s have a lot of people who still have no clue what’s going on. Once you get groups that can dodge, kick, and CC healing become much more manageable. Over all once your groups preform better and you get to a out ilvl 400 it’ll all fit into place. I’m 406 ATM and I’m comfy in 16s and 17s working my way up to 20s 90% through pugs. It’s defo doable.
I think it is a sad case of spec dif. Dragonflight dungeons are rife with group damage and so Disc healing just comes out too slow to keep up on top of lacking many meaningful healer CDs.
Now, I say this purely as speculation based on observing the kit and the alarming lack of any disc priests while pugging my tank alt
Why does your radiant lightbringer transmog look like a lighter colour?
HOLY DAGGER!!!
Good times
Disc Priest of 14 years here: I just got out of a Ruby Life Pools M+ 14 and was destroyed by the damage that was going out. Explosion damage coupled with the radiant damage of people standing in things was unhealable for me. I love healing - I would never give up on my Priest - but when the key starts to fail and I hear things like F*** this Priest - yes, it’s not a good experience. Things need to be balanced - my recommendation for Disc is adding a bigger Atonement window and adding Cascade back or something that can deal with this insane damage.
Oh yah, and it would be nice if humans acted, well like humans and not demons in a human body - but that is another story. There are tons of amazing people who play WoW, but the hate from some people is nuts. Especially when you’re healing your heart out and it ends that way. ![]()
Rerolled out of Shaman 2 days into the xpac, cannot understand how this version of the Shaman was ever approved by Blizzard.
They basically removed all their coolabilities and chucked all their baseline utility on talents awkwardly and called it a day ![]()
Every weekly class tuning patch i feel so vindicated that Blizzard proves me right again and again.
I swapped to dps for the season. I’ll give it another try in season 2. Too much of the increased difficulty in M+ fell on the shoulders of healers. The entire party routinely gets hit for 80% of their hp. Dots that have to be dispelled immediately or they 1 shot. Every pack seems to have super hard hitting mobs that can’t be stunned. And now grievous pops up twice in the first few weeks. No thanks.
I’m Resto Druid and can heal extremely well in Mythic - and I concur it’s still no fun.
If we could bring an equivalent amount of DPS as Tanks maybe I’d feel more useful, or maybe if the dungeons weren’t just full of mechanics that are meant for us to “be useful” but only under very specific conditions/missed mechanics (lack of Kicks, Grievous, etc) it may be different.
Or maybe I’m just blech about Mythic now - it just doesn’t feel fun like it used to.
I have generally liked the healing this xpac. Do I have a lot to do sometimes? Yes. Do people die getting hit by stuff they should not? Yes but thats their problem not mine. A majority of the time my runs go super smooth. I do get lots of compliments on my two healers in particular about how great the heals were or that they had been having terrible luck with healers.
I think a lot of the complaints here are on the DPS side of things. Want to do lots of DPS you could run a voker. Most of the other healers seem in about the same boat for DPS otherwise. I ran my voker first and DPS felt really bad on other healers but to be honest this xpac we are not supposed to be here for the DPS. We make people live. People also have some self responsibility.
I have had one(kind of 2) failed key so far this xpac. At first when everyone was pushing and did not know mechanics it was a lot more anxiety inducing. It is not as bad now. Although bad will be bad and what healers need to realized is that it is not you, its them. I can heal a 15 Temple and it go smooth as butter put out 15k DPS with spikes of 40k+ hps. Then get asked to help with a 2 and put out 2k dps and 65k+ HPS and feel like “what the heck is going on here” and end up solo’ing the last 10% of every boss. It is not me, its them. Everyone is getting hit by every mechanic, standing in every pool, dropping things on the group, etc. THAT WAS NOT YOUR FAULT. They either learn one way or the other.
Just a note when joining keys or raids as a healer if you are struggling be more selective. I make sure the leader has the general experience (most of the time they will be picky about the other group members), I personally avoid a couple of servers (just my bad experiences with them over the years and my one failed key was super late night and had 3 people between those 2 servers), I also only tend to do “guild” group runs if I want to torture myself or I am there to help on voice to train as that generally means at least one person is getting carried. I love to help and do training sessions, I am in a community that does that specifically and so does my guild but I know those are always going to be 10x harder than any of my randoms.
Seems like this is how humans act all the time though. No demons needed really. (And I also mean elsewhere than just WoW)
Track their runic power when you have a DK tank. If they have it and they’re low, don’t heal them. There’s a weak aura for it. Red means heal.
@OP, I love healing M+ personally, often times there’s a lot to heal. That’s what makes it fun imo. Otherwise I’m just a crappy DPS negating a few scenarios with big damage.
That’s why I love healing, the stress of it. The ups and downs, there’s so much more to healing then any other spec. Tank, Face roll the keyboard holds agro, survival is meh at times, combined with self healing. DPS same regards but a little more rotation and what not. Healing on the other hand. Woowee I’m Mister meeseeks.
Idk what you mean
This is the Mage tower set. Its a recolor of the tomb of sargeras tier
