M+ has lost its identity

To be fair, it’s hard to discuss increasing loot in one end-game activity while ignoring the effect of that change on the end-game as a whole.

M+ does not exist as a stand-alone system. And in most cases, increasing loot in either raiding or M+ will have significant impacts. That’s likely why they made the requirement higher to get mythic track gear and crests this season.

They saved raiding by making M+ insufferable. Saw it coming. Delve + raid = eh, I guess I’ll do a key sometime, maybe, with guildies.

“But you still need to do M+ to get this and that gear”

No you don’t. All you need to do is recruit and get enough people to run Mythic raid.

You mean they capped the GO GO GO strat ??

there was never really any uniqueness. once the top m+ players found a route and made a youtube video, everyone expects you to know the route and shortcuts. I’m glad blizz is removing shortcuts.

and there was loud rejoicing.

You don’t get mythic gear from m+, you get it from the vault. One chance at myth track loot every week is not very good. It also increasingly becomes worse as the season progresses and you manage to fill out more slots on the week.

They could just let both raiders and other players choose specific items out of the great vault to alleviate a lot of this, but what do I know.

because they want to promote delves now

Top groups that played different comps had different routes.

Top guardian druid in Dragonflight would avoid the trees in Brackenhide because half his group were target capped classes, and all of those non-elites it constantly summoned would massively hinder the group.

I dont agree with all of what you said, but, i do agree with most of it. Mythic plus HAS lost its way. Im a firm believer that 3 items should be dropping for the time invested. The Mythic+ train ride is almost over and if they dont fix it by Season 2, there will be alot of people in these forums complaining about progression rewards. Mark this in your calendars, its gonna happen.

I don’t chase gear anymore, that’s why I’ve skipped Season 1 of M+ for the past 4 expansions.

The same thing has happened every time since BFA. The dungeons come out super over tuned, buggy and bad, they nerf them all (with the exception of BFA where they left dungeons stupid the entire xpac, but we had giga OP borrowed power so it was okay), then slowly buff the underrepresented specs.

Also every time we start a new xpac we start with bottom of the barrel stats on top of over tuned dungeons. It’s just dumb.

I want you to know not everyone that does keys was asking for mythic raid gear. It was only the small vocal minority at the top Blizz caters to. A lot of us were happy with what we had back in the day. Mythic raids gave the best gear but it was deserved

M+ is infinitely farmable! My god, M+ players are some of the most entitled babies that play this game.

Sounds like you just want easy loot, which is what I’ve been saying about M+ players all along.

They’re honestly bad for the game imo.

Blizzard knew that Delves would impact M+, I think that was the intent behind them personally.

Most of my friends that tried M+ hated it. These were people that came back to the game in SL. They all just play Classic now, because it is not as sweaty.

The dungeons we have right now aren’t massively overtuned though. There definitely are outlier bosses but KSM/Hero gear is easier to get than ever, most just haven’t acclimated to the new dungeon pool. I’ve seen so many people joining 7-9s and still have no idea what the bosses do.

Most of them didn’t even complete them on M0.

I would say that the only issue I have found on M+ is the underwhelming feeling of getting rewarded even though you failed the key, I’m not taking about loot, loot is alright. Is not timing the key and still getting rewarded with Keystone Master is the most underwhelming feeling I have ever felt when it happened to me back on Season 2 of Dragonflight.

In contrast it feels very rewarding knowing everyone put their effort on the group and got the job done timing the key.

Is alright to make M+ accessible for those that want to challenge themselves to whatever lvl they feel they need or want to push but don’t be handing out the rewards as a consolation prize, that just bad design imo.

Why are M+ players always complaining?

Good, about time Blizzard tried to prevent whole-dungeon pulling till the next boss!

Are we really pretending like this matters?

Not one of the thousands of M+ groups that I’ve been in since its inception have I ran into “okay the route for X dungeon is established, but for fun, let’s try a different route.”

Once a route is optimized, it’s repeated for timings sake.

This is a nothing burger lol.
